This isn't directly pertinent to the post in question but I thought it an appropriate enough place to post about perhaps my most awkward experience with a provider. I made an unexpected visit to my hobbying city of choice a few months ago and, in an uncharacteristic move, I decided to just call up and see who was working (rather than my usual method of prebooking). I ended up booking an appointment with a girl I didn't know much about, based on the phone girl's description alone. Later on, when we met, she seemed pleasant enough but came across as quite distant and a little awkward and jittery. I asked her what was wrong and she eventually admitted that, though she liked me, she found that I "looked just like the guy who had [her] comimtted to a mental institute". Now I found this a little awkward for a couple reasons. Firstly, nobody wants to hear that the girl they just met and are about to have sex with has spent time in a mental institute and is possibly emotionally unstable. I know this doesn't make her a bad or inferior human being in any way, and I also know that there could have been many circumstances behind it which would have made it a lot less of a big deal than it seemed to me at the time, though nonetheless it was a bit of a bombshell and, not having the time to get to know her and understand the circumstances behind it I was never quite able to get over it in the remainder of our time together. Secondly, nobody wants to hear, in that same situation, that they make their temporary partner uncomfortable in such a strange way. Even though she assured me that it didn't matter I could tell she was a little uncomfortable with me despite it all. Oh well, life goes on I suppose.

Unnerving

Hello Angeleyes,

By the way, you write just fine.

That situation would have been unnerving to me. Just as the ladies never know who they will meet, we as clients wonder sometimes what we are getting into. It could be a scam, a drunk or drugged girl...whatever. But to be confronted by someone who may see you as a threat because you remind her of a terrible guy, and then for her to admit to being in a mental institution is red flag city right off the top. Of course you have no time to understand the delicacies of the situation. You have to think right away how best to avoid risks and this epsiode screams...thanks for coming, but I think I need to let you go. Give her $20 and say good luck. If that is like the way you handled it, you did fine and should not feel guilty for it. You were proabably helping both of you out of a tense situation.
