I am not going to take sides in this dispute nor do I have an understanding with which to do so, since most of the disputed posts are in French which I do not read or understand completely, even though I can make out certain words, phrases and insults.

About 5 months ago or so there was a similar dispute between a small group of male members and a small group of female "supporting" members. That dispute, which also needlessly escalated into name-calling and personal insults, centered around the ALLEGED over-posting of certain female supporting members in certain non-advertising or review threads. I thought that particular issue had been resolved. I do not recall the resolution. Also, if I am not mistaken, different members were involved at that time, not copain, or Corleone, or some of the ladies mentioned in his original post.

I personally welcome the input of the female supporting members/adverisers, however I do not think they should be allowed to post 100 times in a thread, basically saying nothing and getting their name seen over and over again. I AM NOT ACCUSING ANYONE OF DOING THAT HERE. But under the current rules it seems like supporting members can do that. Of course I can do that too if I wanted to, but I am not selling anything and have no reason to do so. Perhaps there should be a cap on the number of posts one can make in a particular thread? I know Fred Zed will probably never go for an idea that limits posting in any way, but a black and white rule might limit these controversies from arising in the future.

You seem to be targeting irrelevent banter that has no connection to the subject of the thread but gets the poster visibility by putting the posters handle in view as the thread gets bumped to the top. When a number of posters do this in a thread then the original subject/purpose of the thread gets lost or distorted.

A practical solution would be welcome but is far from obvious.

Korbel, I totally agree with you. I think that posters like this one and copain37 who continually insult everyone on the board that doesn't agree with them actually have no balls at all. They are the kind of guys that long for the good old days where women 'knew their place', the kitchen and the bedroom, and weren't allowed to give their opinion. He also probably misses the days of taverns where only men could enter and women were prohibited.

But then it's easy to have an attitude when you are behind a keyboard.

I have a feeling that if these guys saw a shrink, he would be asking them a lot of questions about their relationship with their mothers because these two have serious problems with women who can express themselves.

I deleted that original post to try a whole new devil's advocate approach later. Sorry I did, so I will reinstall it here.

What strikes me now about the idea of a small brigade of women trying to control "testosterone" is the hypocrisy. How often have many males here tried to influence the options of a meeting to try to make the ladies swallow and offer greek within the same rates or push every lady from non-GFE to GFE to PSE to concubine. I mean, aren't escorts suppsoed to be like rental cars? Shouldn't they just give us the ride we want and take the treatment like dogs without complaint when some of us can't get our girlfriends or wives to do the same. And, so we have some like Corleone who only have enough courage to throw insults and call for banishments from behind a board when women dare to rebel against the misogynist mafia.

If any lady or group of ladies has an organized "mafia" agenda it still has a long way to go to keep up with some of the testosterone inspired misogynistic arrogance some like Corleone seem to think should be the right way of the world. If there is a female mafia I think it's about time after all the male arrogance continually flushing through this board.
