Spending down your fortune in the season of decay

The summer is over, and the season of life is transitioning, declining into to the season of stillness.

So that makes me wonder, as I go into my fifties, does awareness of your mortality affect your spending on this hobby of ours?

After all, I'm in my early fifties, and I know my time to enjoy this hobby is limited, it's likely it will end even significantly before my lifespan ends.

Even as my net worth rises, my libido declines, the erections and desire softens, even the WGs' response does too.

So, like the end of happy hour approaching, there is the temptation to consume more, quickly.

In short, does awareness of time affect your consumption rate in this hobby?

I know there are people here older than me, the younger ones are rarer, but I assume most people are close to my age, late 30s to mid-50s, but I can't be sure.

I’m in my early sixties. As long as you respect your budget, there are place for having some fun under the sun.
Anyway, at my age financial dices are already thrown and continue hobby won’t change much to what’s coming.
As for libido, it’s not on the rise but each time I see my favorites, I forget about it and I still enjoy my rides while it last.
For sure I won’t have any choice but too slow down with time.

But for now summer is over, I got a ski pass and I’m looking for winter:)
I don’t know about you but you’ll get over this « fall blues »

Oh, I’m well aware of mortality. My friends and family which are older than I am and I got no child. All my closed relatives will eventually pass away. I can’t do nothing about it but having great time with them while it last.

I saw a documentary on a guy in his 90s who daily hike a mountain in BC. He said that he still enjoy his ride while it last.
There are no other way to see it.

Budget is the least of my worries! I wonder if it would be foolish to spend to see the kind of porn stars I could not afford when I was younger and hornier!

I'll say just do it :)

The only certainties in life are aging, declining physical capacity, and the uncertainty of tomorrow.

You don’t want to sit with regrets later, when your body no longer lets you do the things you still can today. You want to move while you still can, experience while you still have the energy, and act before “someday” turns into “too late.”

Seeing p-stars could be a real hit or miss and a very expensive one at that. You are better off seeing high to very high caliber SPs.

But it doesn't square with Radio France's news, there is only more loneliness after Euphoria's closure!

If you are at a good restaurant and tomorrow plan traveling with no access to good food, does it make sense to overeat? Your satisfaction with food today does little to moderate your hunger in coming lean days.
