Suggestion for downtown, where to catch tonights Yankees Game (bar)

sure the hooters, they may have it, there's the hooters on Cresent, theres's LaCage near bell. But I like more of just a bar, not a 'chain restaurant'. but a non-chain breastaurant would do.

Big screens would be nice. Any thoughts.

In order here are my recommendations.
The biggest screen in town is 1909 Taverne Moderne right next to the Bell Centre. Their screen is 46 feet by 20 feet!!!! Crisp and clear quality!!!!
Houston's.
Then you have Sports Station, many screens.
Peel Pub?

Hooters on Crescent Street - second floor has huge screens, 3 huge TVs at the bar on the second floor. 80" or so. I watched Wimbledon there this summer. Best TVs at any sports bar I have seen in Montreal. They dropped huge $$$ on TVs

Thing is, its not just the size of the screens its whether they will actually show baseball too, and this is Montreal so not exactly option 1. Safest bet would be sports station probably, cause against hockey and basketball lot of places may not put on baseball. That or a smaller bar where you can ask them to change it.

The game will be broadcast on the French language sports channel RDS2 at 8PM. I imagine that any good sports bar that has lots of TVs will automatically put the game on at least 2 or 3 of their TVs. Maybe try La Cage near the Bell Centre. If you want boobs with your baseball, go to the Downtown Club strip club on Ste. Catherine near Peel (which is what I would do). There is a big TV behind the bar and you can see it well from a seat at the bar. The club will be slow at 8pm when the game starts. I wish I could be there. :smile:

thank you gents. i went with bardowntown. up the flight of stairs, and they tuned a tv just for me.

come perhaps 11pm, the place got doubled with patrons.

i would say about 10-12 ladies around. 3-4 i saw i wouldnt have minded getting dances with, but it was none of these three that did any soliciting, instead it was 3 which did approach me that i didn't fully care for as much.

there was one blondish asian that seemed to arouse a bit of clapping. she didnt do anything for me though. there was a second, much more petite asian, likely viet, there.


had about 3 shots and two cocktails, bought 3 shots for a girl that spent some time speaking with me.
