I will be in Montreal from Jan 12 to 17. I've visited the L'orage website but I don't read french (don't speak it either). Are they english friendly? Is there a place where I can get information about hours, costs, address and events?
Here the place to go now www.le1082.com some people live here all their life and dont speak french

That said with the increased influx of new single men lately, it makes the clubs less diserable.

You are right Bruce34, I have to admit I was a little afraid that this would happen :(

I'm going to for one last drink at 1082 tonight, then I'm off to Mexico to chase drinks, women, and the perfect 6' left to right wave.

Happy New Year!

I read a short mention of this in the Gazette over the holidays, I don't have a link to it unfortunately, and they mentioned that this opens the door to live sex shows in strip clubs if they wanted to have them. Sooner or later I'm sure there will be full nude private dances offered in sc's. All it will take is one club to start it to see if they can get away with it.

Thanks Voyageur.

I have checked out that site and reviews already along with others. Also looking forward to the Strip Club action.

New effects of that judgement...

Le journal de Montréal as an interesting article today. Quebec justice is giving up accusations of being or run a bawdy house against workers and patrons of le Bar Taboo, a gay club (Mtl Police did a raid in May 2003 with double agents  ...). The Crown said that the recent Judgement of the Supreme Court is pushing the rules about decency and bawdy house.

The show was very explicit, even masturbations on stage and blowjob in private booth. They said that the spectators were aware of the kind of show they presented. About sexual activities (BJ and HJ), it was held in a private place, not in front of the public, so it wasn't offending people.

I don't know but it seems that HJ and BJ in booth is now legal...

Good news/Bad news

A little off the current topic but the good news (for me anyway) is I'm back in Montreal and was out at my favorite bar last night (1082 sauna) - The bad news is that there are now more single guys than ever

There is still a good time to be had it just takes a little more patience then it used to. A little word of advice, the "Fantasy room" is now open 7 days a week (used only be open on the weekend) but guys before you decide to pay the extra charge for access (around $30) make sure you ask if there is anyone else there first. Last night I heard a few guys complaining that they paid but there was no one else (I was lucky the barmaid warned me ahead of time not to bother).

It's another vicotry for the gays but a smear on their reputation once again. It sounds like gay cannot do anything better than their need of constant sex and pictured in the media as such.

It's a reputation they bring on themselves. Have you ever seen the gay pride parade in Montreal? If heterosexuals paraded around in the same manner they would be arrested for public indecency.
