FÉLIX s'est fait sortir à sa première confrontation à AUCKLAND contre un # 57.....pas fort comme début d'année....affrontera en plus THIEM au 1er tour du AUSTRALIAN OPEN....let's hope for better results....sinon l'année pourrait être longue pour FÉLIX.

It happens often... LEYLAH in her first set had big big problems with a qualifier/ une qualifiée de 17 ans.....MAIS au file de la game le talent l'emporte....d'autant plus que chez les hommes doivent remporter 3 sets....ce qui laisse encore davantage de latitude
pour se replacer et l'emporter.....that said il n'est pas rare dans des OPEN de voir des qualifiés se faufiler et faire bonne route.....it"s part of the game and nice to watch.

Toooo bad...LEYLAH lost in 2 sets and was leading 4-1 first set......she said she wants to do the quarters in 2024...so not a good start...BUT credit to SPARKS...une puissante joueuse....un beau mixte physiquement et de par son style de jeu de SERENA et VENUS....
devra travailler sur sa constance comme beaucoup de joueurs.

And yes....COCO and RYBA still on the move....same for RADUCANU....long long time...pleasant to see her back.

I watched the match against Alycia Sparks. I didn't know her. She's 6' 1" tall and her first serve was between 190 and 200 km/hr.
At the beginning of 1st set Leyla otplayed her opponent but when Alycia began to put her serve in the court, she outpowerred Leyla.
If Alycia had a more complete play in all aspect, she would be in the top ten.
