The day I see the US senate hold a special meeting to find ways to supplement poor mother's diet or prevent crack babies from being born handicapped, i'll start believing that all the hooplah around Teri Schiavo's is something other than political exploitation.

I really don't understand why, WITH ALL THE OTHER ITEMS ON THEIR PLATE,the senate is having hearings on steroid use in major league baseball.

What great condolences you give.... The ability to show respect on the passing away of another person is what helps to make us human.

Back to the subject, it, of course depends on what you mean by "die." Terry Schiavo "lived" long enough to see the Red Sox win the World Series. But since she wasn't aware that the blessed event had occurred, was she really alive? Too deep for me.

When I said "she died", I was thinking to the official biological death, the one that bring you in a morgue drawer. About the end of her (active) life, that's a whole other story.
