Check out the expressions on the face of every young person behind Biden, especially the young lady on the right.

They all have the same expression - What you just said was really fucking stupid.

I don't see any video with people behind Biden. Maybe they changed the clip?

Do you know how betting odds work?
(And you might note that *Trump* is the favourite in these odds.)

Although as a historical side note, did they have published betting odds for elections in the 80s?

Mondale trailed Reagan in all polls the entire year of 1984, but you are right that Dukakis had the polling lead for a few months in early 1988, before Bush took over after the Republican convention and was up by a healthy margin from then on, with Dukakis never getting close again.

Wait, you think the Mainstream Media is receiving Soviet money?

You do know the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore, right?

Or do you mean the Soviets were funding the press in the 80s, back when the press predicted Reagan and Bush would win?
(That seems to maybe be it?)

And nowadays Putin is funding CNN to say certain democrats are favored to win the primary?
(But the reality is that Trump will win the Democratic primary, because a Democrat winning the Democratic primary is a Russian fake news story?)

And why do you think Putin is paying CNN to lie about who is favoured in the Democratic primary?

these"democ-rats"are not of my interest.

BUt-the main target of stalinist and neo-commie putin-is to try to destroy our Western Civilisation.

Putin is the enemy of Western Civilization and that is why you support Trump? That's interesting logic.

Ojeda is already out, that didn't take long.

Gabbard also looks like she is flaming out in short order.

Bernie still hasn't officialt announced but it is going to happen soon.

Also, that Starbucks guy teased an announcement and looks like he is not liking the response.

Love that he's getting the full French Press and being severely roasted to boot. It's thoroughly amazing to me that anyone awake in the last two years can say "But both sides!" centrism nonsense. It's certainly fair to argue that both Democrats and Republicans love big money but it's impossible to argue with a straight face that the undoing of mores has both parties to blame. Republicans have made it readily apparent there's no low they won't sink to as long they remain in power, like when they almost elected a man who preyed on young girls to the Senate or disregarded lying under oath from a Supreme Court nominee.

With that said though, on paper Schultz sounds more appealing to Republicans but I fully understand the need to pillory him. A few votes in close swing states will deliver victory to either Trump or the Democratic nominee, and those votes siphoned to someone like Schultz who has exactly zero chance of winning will either be a gift or a nightmare. Plus, as another reminder: being able to successfully run a business is no guarantee of success in governance because the goals in business and government couldn't be more dissimilar.

Schultz knows people don't need a reason to vote not Trump. They do need a reason to vote not Democrat either, so he is specifically targeting Democrats. (strategically sound) His campaign (if he follows through) is going to be trying to pull voters who would vote Democrat because not Trump. He will appeal to the suburban Repubs. Overall more likely to hurt dems and help Trump win a split decision.

Schultz was able to build one of the best fucking brand and client experience in the world with his coffee joint business while still serving horrible coffee. Just imagine how good he could be in politics!

Cheers,

Haha! I honestly don't get the allure of Starbucks, and I'm a 2/3-cups-of-coffee-drinker on most days of the week.

It's not helping matters that the media rounds Schultz is making reveals that he's not the most in-touch or even politically knowledgeable guy. If he still runs despite all this shellacking, it's either due to pure ego or some political consultant who's taking his money while laughing behind his back.

I think some of you are getting too excited for the liberal field in the Democratic field. While the ring of it might appeal to true liberals, the rhetoric leaves too much electoral room between themselves and Trump.

I'm impressed with Kamala. I think she has effectively ended any remote possibility for Hillary. Sure she's saying stuff that won't sell off the Coasts, but I think she's slick enough to pivot in the General.

I think a big moderate will be left standing to fight her or the liberal to come out of the crowd through many primaries. Apparently if you believe this article, the Biden or Bloomberg choice that I thought would be the battle for numero uno moderate has already been settled.

From reading some of your comments, some of you are true, clear liberal ideologues and others are more anti-Trump zealots with a range of somewhat muddled views. (Seriously, it's pretty clear the anti-Trump zealots get confused by media telling them things they want to hear.) It will be interesting to see if the liberal ideologues will pragmatically place a vote in a primary for a Biden or Bloomberg.

People aren't going to vote for Bloomberg in the primary. "Old billionaire on vanity run" is going to piss more people off than pull them in.

Kamela is very likely to be in the final round.

Biden remains the main guy in that lane. I still don't think he can overcome his tendency to run bad campaigns, though. If Beto went in, Beto is probably the "moderate".
