CR- Thanks for posting that historical summary. 2002 was indeed the best year. For almost all of calendar year 2002 the rate was between 1.56 and 1.60. I remember 2002 as being the best year and this post corroborates that. I took a number of trips to Montreal during that summer of 2002 because it was sick how much stripper and escort mileage I was getting for my money. I felt like a little kid with the keys to the candy store. Now the store has been locked, and you can't get the keys unless you pay a charge. Sigh.

World War II brought us out of the great Depression!!!!!! It put everyone back to work in factories supporting the war effort. My grandmother worked in a factory which made bullets.

This and many, many other factors.

North Americans grew self sufficient, spoiled thus getting into all kinds of behavior disorders, thinking we're the best, the biggest, the smartest and that it would never change while the rest of the world was struggling just to get a decent meal.

We got spoiled to the point of wasting 10times our share of contribution to the world thinking we have the one and only 'truth'. We spend over our capacity of paying and got all the others in the G8 doin' the same.

Kyoto, 2001, 2008 were concrete different warnings but instead we went all the way defending 'our way of life', the american way of life and the canadian arrogance that it's the best country in the world.

We polluted more than any other per capita, we wasted the earth's ressources more than any other.

How much of this propaganda did I hear specially from the Bush era that there was no proof that climate was changing or that it wasn't our fault and it was just a cycle and that it was just a big f*reakin world conspiracy against the US and Canada ?

We ate so much until our population became addicted to the point where the majority has all kinds of health problems and we even exported this sh*t as being a freedom and a privilege.

We've been raised to hate so much that we created a society where violence has become normal and we used equality to women and the human charter of rights as an hypocrite way to hide just how much this society is corrupted, violent and unfair to other types of society.

Etc, etc, etc...

I know I'm part of it but I'm not kiddin myself that it's because we let others take 'our jobs' away or that we gave them the opportunity to beat us.

Others have basically earned it the hard way and they are about to teach us a big freakin lesson on freedom and the right to live a decent life for themselves.

The positive side ? We might not see this cuze we'll probably be all dead by then
