Gaby,

When I watch Vegas I find it hard to believe that they have 13 players who were rejects and castoffs by other NHL teams. Marchessault, I understand he is small at 5’9” and 175, but the dude can fly, he’s fast as hell on skates. Karlsson another castoff who more than tripled his point production. How could NHL talent evaluation be so bad? Or is it that Gallant is putting on a coaching clinic the likes of which have not been seen since 1980 when Herb Brooks coached a team of nonprofessional college kids to an Olympic gold medal? Which is it? Can someone help me out because I watched the last couple games and Vegas be skating circles around the Jets, who have a great team!!!!

Explanations for what is happening are needed.

EB most of Vegas were not "true" rejected players at all. Many of them were let go because of restricted list of players to protect. The Pens would have kept Fleury... A few other example like that on this team.

We cannot see this as NHL talent being undervalued. We need to see as team making choices in regards to the policy the NHL put in place to welcome a new team. Which was much more favorable to what we have seen in the past with expansion team.

Cheers,

Jalimon,

So you are telling us that the teams that failed to protect Marchessault and Karlsson have no regrets and just did what they were forced to do?

Is there any team that wouldn’t want those 2 guys right now?

Jalimon bang on!

I'm shure Seattle will want the same draft deal since they will pay 150M$ more...

Must have been fun putting this team together.

Yes true many team would have wanted these 2. But at the time of decision to welcome a new team they had their own players to protect too...

This was not a regular trade period at all. It was very well put in place by Betman to make sure the team would not be a joke like past expansion where teams would be outplayed for many years... "remember the mickey mouse comment by Gretzky?"

Now that said I am surprise to see Vegas performed like that? Yes!

Cheers,

There was alot of wheeling snd dealing last summer.

Still there are some major surprises on this team, Karlson for one has had an amazing breakout year that no one saw coming.

Yes absolutely I dont deny that. I happen to know relatives of David Perron who is from Sherbrooke. He said there is a pride on this team to perform. Because even if the Vegas draft was highly favorable for the team as a whole still each players were not protected by their own team. Individually that hurts ;) Now they are all trying to say as a team a big fuck you to their original team that did not protected them ;) haha

Cheers,

Yeah they play with a chip on their shoulder, would do anything for one another and go thru walls for Gallant and every day, every game they win they make History.

And you know what....am quite sure they will get Tavares next summer....they have money and the profile.....winning team and Stanley Cup Champ......lol.

Tampa Bay made some minor adjustments in their intensity level. Much like in the Boston series they got slapped in the face at home in game 1, here they also got slapped in the face early and are now playing their game.

At this point I am rooting for Vegas to go all the way, so I don’t care who wins this series although I think Vegas would prefer a matchup with the Capitals.

Key Game 4 In Vegas

Tonight in Vegas a key game 4, as the Golden Knights can go up 3-1 and rip away home ice advantage from Winnipeg.

In this serious we have watched Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson- unwanted by the Panthers and Blue Jackets- blossom into stars right before our very eyes. Marchessault in particular has seized the spotlight and shown the whole world what a skater he is. Will the rise of these two Vegas players continue, or will we see a return of the big, bad physical Winnipeg bullies we saw in game 1, when Byfuglien kicked the ass of anyone who happened to get in his way?
