Three Cheers For The Red Wings

The fabulous Detroit Red Wings set a franchise record yesterday with their 15th straight home win. Hip hip hooray!

Pavel Datsyuk showed why he is considered the most skilled player in the world with three brilliant assists.

What a team!

Hitchcock making everyone look great!

those St.Louie blues are playing incredibly well since slotting hitch' behind the bench. even backup goalie elliott looks like an all-star. maybe chris stewart will turn it up a notch or 10. 21-5-6 since hitchcock replaced Davis Payne on Nov. 6... now, can he lead the blues past the 1st round of the playoffs???

Thanks to the bruins!

Bruins over the Devils.............

Nathan Horton and Gregory Campbell scored in a 35-second span in a four-goal third period that carried the Boston Bruins to a 4-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night.

Defenseman Andrew Ference tied it at 3:01 of the period and Horton and Campbell put the Bruins ahead for good as they beat New Jersey for the third time in three games this season. Chris Kelly added an empty-net goal in the final minute.

4 goals in the 3rd period.............................

A Leaf and A Bruin, picking a team?

Looks like Kessel wont be picked last this time around, and here he was looking forward to another free car.:D Nice to see Lupul's amazing comeback story continue and getting noticed by the league. The guys career was almost over and thru hard work and dedication he is now being talked about for the Hart Memorial Trophy. (look it up non hockey fans) It was either being an assistant captain to a senator or a bruin, not really what i would call a win-win situation, but hey, it's for fun and a game for the fans, so be it. :thumb:

Question: Which team is currently leading the NHL standings?

Answer: The Detroit Red Wings with 65 points, 6 consecutive wins, 8 wins in the last 10 games.

To be fair, a couple of teams are close and have games in hand.

Andrew Ference

Glad to see him suspended - just wish it was more than 3 games. He's someone with zero respect for opposing players and if he keeps doing what he's now done on many occasions, one of these days he will SERIOUSLY hurt somebody.

An excellent article highlighting Leaf playoff futilty over the last six (soon to be seven) seasons. No, not futility during the post-season, fultility in not making the playoffs at all, LOL!

Another lost season looming for Maple Leafs

Make it seven.

Once, that catchphrase applied to the dream of bringing another NHL team to Canada.

Now, apply it to the number of consecutive seasons out of post-season play the Maple Leafs appear doomed to achieve

I agree. Boston has went from being a very tough team to being a very dirty team. I blame it on management. Julien & Chiarelli always come up with lame excuses to defend their bums' horseshit playing style.

By the way, it's nice to see the habs fans slowly coming out from under the rock they were hiding under. Of course, they'll go back retreating the minute their team loses their next game or so.
