The Official MERB Best Reviewer of the Year 2015 Nomination thread.

Goodness MERB has a short memory... These polls should really be "Best xxx of 2015 Q4"! Two of the more prolific reviewers and fun reads from earlier this year both have been seemingly forgotten. Which is a shame. Their contributions should be recognized.

sharky's intensity is peerless. How the man fucks - a role model for us all. Although I tend towards GFE myself, his PSE-style narrations are can't-miss reads for me. His objectivity cannot be questioned. The man was critical of Zoë for godsakes!!! Rightly for that encounter, and no hard feelings from the object of that criticism (good on her). No fear in speaking the truth and willingly being critical - admirable reviewer qualities. :thumb: His scale for attractiveness and service, I trust, as they align well with my own. And, of course, I owe the man for connecting me with Zoë when I could no longer stand the wait. A member to be applauded. I do miss his reviews.

Mon ami, ita. Well, was there any more prolific reviewer in the middle of this year? The scarcity of his mentions in this nomination poll amazes me. He should run away with this race. But maybe I'm biased, because both of us are attracted to spinners. And rare has there been any other hobbyists who align so well with my tendencies in real life as well. We are sympatico. So maybe vanity colors this vote. But all that aside, one cannot argue with his volume of output and his un-matched enthusiasm.

Lastly Doc. Well, I love his reviews when I can actually find them!! Before he deletes them. A longtime board veteran who actually reviews! How refreshing! My hilarious hockey sparring partner on those rare occasions I indulge. Life's looking up for your Leafs, mon ami. Soon enough, there may be expectations! God forbid. :lol: And stop picking on JC! But back to reviews. Amusing as always. A veteran on this board. I've enjoyed reading his adventures from years back, and still today. Classy, funny storytelling. Keep it up, sir.


Countless other reviewers deserve recognition. Unbiased, true recounts, honesty in criticism and praise - you are valued. And I applaud you all. For all that you are willing to share, however little or large.

There should be some kind of vote on whether to disqualify the banned/retired finalists or simply let the voters decide and ADD the next 3 finishers. I think Handi should decide this question and we should all abide his decision because he did all the work on this.

Wolfie was banned for very disrespectful posting and the disrespect was directed at an SP. He made comments harshly critical of an SP under consideration for rookie of the year. This all occurred on New Year's Eve. Honestly I think he was drunk when he made the posts but there was no excuse for them.

The posts were all made in your rookie of the year nomination thread and likely deleted by the Mods. Perhaps you can ask to read them. Mods have records of deleted posts.

I got a text from that sp the night of new years eve, who was in tears over what wolfie wrote, i later that night toasted the new year with her and friends but she was still bewildered as to how someone she has never met (he only saw her at one gt) would say such mean and horrible things about another person? Guess he had a favorite for rookie of the year or something

Wolfie, if you read this, not cool man, that was the worst low blow a guy on these forums can deliver, she is a human being and what you said was mean, hateful and disgusting. For someone who always posts as being of a higher class than everyone else, you sure stooped to a lower class that afternoon, you owe the lady an apology. Since you are banned and i have no idea for how long, you can reach her through the agency owner.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. As stated before, my theory is Wolfie was drunk. It was New Year's Eve when that was posted. One should never drink and post.

Couldn't agree more with the drinking and posting. I had hoped she didn't see the post or hear about it before it was deleted.
