Tipping ...
Tipping is an intresting thread an I've been meaning to start another thred in the general area regarding it. This is some what aside from tipping SP's, but I will touch on that shortly.
I myself don't beleive in the %15-20 rule of thumb when it comes to tipping. I don't beleive a waiter or waitress should receive a $40 tip because I decided to buy a $200 bottle of wine, but at the same time, a waiter or waitress deserves more than a $4 tip for a $20 meal when they are continously checking up to see how your doing for drinks and have the food is. When I got out, I like to gage their performance and give them a tip based on that. When a waiter or waitress is excellent ... there tip usually works out to be %25-35, once again based on what they did to deserve that. On the other hand, if a waiters or waitresses performance is sub pa, I either give no tip of a %10 tip just for the sake of tipping.
Waiters and waitresses make excellent money due to tips, some even make more than my wage per day. I have many friends in the industry and respect it as it is a "necessity".
SP's as well deserve tips as they are providing a service that goes beyond a regular service. A girl who especially goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy yourself is a gem and desrves to be rewarded.
Tipping all comes down to service, for those that go the extra mile ... they should be rewarded for that effort. Hopefully I made some sence as I had a pretty rough night ...
