A freakin' DJ...that's what this nonsense is? What's so special about someone who plays tracks. Last time I was out with Doc H he picked some great selections on the jukebox at the bar we were at. Same thing as Tiesta does. No wonder why I had no idea who this guy was.

The guy deserves a bit more credit than that. The music he plays are his compositions or remixes. Sure he doesn't do much during the show, as gohabsgo said the shows are more like an occasion to go to a big "rave" type event.

One of them... but I used to find it great and yet the people in there weren't having as much fun as here in Mtrl.
And HOOOO !!! my god ..you can't even get close to the feeling of being there physically.
It was my 5th time I've seen him in Mtrl and I used to go at the bunker (for those who knows what the bunker is about) and Tiesto on Oct 2nd was even bigger.
So for people who didn't get it.
To me a show where you pay $200 to get close in order to see some guy sweatin on a guitar or a Diva singing her best song ??? or a suposedly 'Hard metal rock group' ??? is a complete waste of time.
I'd rather pay $200 to get close to my girl and being the guy sweatin having my hands all over her while she sings and some guy on the stage makes the Bell center rock.

I have to agree with JH that the hall will be crawling with beauties tonight. And a good percentage of them will be “in the mood” because that is a good part of what his “musical manipulations” are designed for.
I can understand the reaction of those who don’t see what is there to watch, but it’s much more like a huge party. DJ’s are not music makers per se, they are music transformers. The mixing, dubbing and all other special effects change it, but more important is the sequencing. Today’s star disc jockeys are instrumental in bringing many world artists to our attention. Thievery Corporation, Hôtel Costes, Café del Mar and the various DJ’s who release the Buddha Bar series are all examples of music from all over the globe arranged not only side by side, but with a “mood altering” idea of progression.
Right here in Montréal, breakthrough circus “The 7 fingers” (Les Sept Doigts de la Main) integrates DJ Pocket into some of their shows. I went to see Loft and he is a big part of the performance.
I can’t say I’m a huge Tiësto fan, but I like some of the stuff he does. I have a couple of his double albums ripped into my catalogue.
I like music from all eras, languages and most styles, much like the DJ’s mentioned above. More than one lady who has visited me asked if I could “burn” her a CD or MP3 copy of the playlist that was on…
