Because they allow dangerous and unverified hacks to happen on their platform, that can seriously harm or injur people. Along with it being an app more designed and monitored for good content in its origin country, while the rest of the world gets unfiltered and pretty much exposed to everything anyone else might share whether it is true or not.

They are just looking to waive their responsibility so they can allow the app to continue, while they neglect it for everywhere else in the world, while hyper censoring it to be a good platform in china.

Wanting the world to support and use their technologies, but don't care or want to put in the efforts for the platform as a whole that they do for their target demographic.

It's about time it gets phased, or even sensored out by the rest of the world as they realize just how toxic it actually is, while also targeting being popular to the kids, who don't know better than to do what they see, and get injured in the process.

I wonder if it'd still hold up in court..any lawyers care to weigh in?
No idea but this reminds of SmileDirect’s (now bankrupt) refund policy that requires an NDA of the an unofficial policy as well as no negative reviews of its teeth aligners. So essentially they are no negative reviews for SmileDirect if a customer wanted a refund.

I believe a state AG sued and got SmileDirect to remove the NDA.
