I ask for a vote please... time to flush old posts...
yes delete , expire, remove :)

look anything over 2 years is old news and should be gone :( its wasted disk space as well as useless info for over 90% of the time.....
Most girls/ladies/woman have moved on, retired, changed, and even changed attitude so most of the older info is just plane useless.

a lot of places have changed ownership or address or even services... its time to reflect these changes...
I enjoy reading the forums but when i search for key words and i get results back from topics that started back in 2010 and there are 50 pages, then i know its useless, and its just rambling in that thread... and its just plain useless..

its a great bulletin board and has great potential, but i think its time for a clean up big time, start to reflect the current state of affairs....

opinions please...

or is there a better Bulletin Board for the Montreal area????

An interesting idea. But can't you look at the date of the post?

thats the issue..... if i do a search, say Diana, queen mary, then i get back 10 pages, the first 8 are from 2005, and useless, due to the fact that its outdated... i should be presented with 2 years of info .... anything older is just old news.....

I should not have to jump through pages of responses to finally hit page 10 and they now are talking about squirrels..... i am finding just way to much old news...... we are all here pretty much for the same reason, and what was happening 10,8,even 5 years ago in Montreal and area is useless and seriously out of date.....

Look behind you.
.

Start at last page and work backwards, problem solved.

Text data does not take up too much space. When I search I read the date and if too old move on ( does not happen often that the last post is out dated ), plus it is nice to see how things ( ideas ) change with time. Not really an issue to leave old posts on.

Instead of using the search box on the main page, click on the "Advanced Search" link right under. You will then have the option to sort your result by date, in descending order (it's actually the default order). Problem solved.

no not really, starting at last page , the conversation has changed from ass pumping to painting your car..... after 3 pages people highjack the conversations ant it gets twisted all over the place , by the time its at the last page they are talking about how there car needed a oil flush....

Look behind you.
^^^^^^ Good point, but that also means the thread is dead and useless.
Just to add, in case you come back with it is useless delete it. What is useless to some is not to others.

Maybe if they archive older posts it would help searching for something more easier. Getting info from 10 years ago is a bit annoying to have to go through it.

2 years? There's a lot of SP's working now that were working 2 years ago... would be just stupid to get rid of all those reviews.

Not only ridiculous but potentially damaging.
There are some popular and useful threads that were started several years ago and are still relevant

there is a date filter in the advanced search. Peanuts!

Been on this board for years and I'm still trying to figure out the search function! Thanks.

Nah man we gotta keep those old threads, its classic memories, its history !

I find it sad already when threads are being removed for various reasons.

Why not spend time exploring and contributing to the board before suggesting changes?

Old postings still contain useful information. Useful information is valuable like money. Would you flush money?
