Not a big fand of her post 80s music but, yeah, she rocked my teenage years, both musically and visually. What a sexy babe she was during the Ikettes years. Well deserved title of Queen of rock'n Roll, her presence and energy on stage was and is still unsurpassed.

Tina Turner had legs up to her neck! I have many fond childhood memories of those legs and high heels and countless hours lost in fantasy as a teenage boy.

She excelled at what she did as a performer and produced fine music and dance during an era that was less than enthusiastic musically.

Moreover, she personifies what a strong woman means and is to me........she survived a brutal relationship with Ike and extricated herself from that relationship and went on to greater success as a solo artist. More power to her! This is a strong woman!

CCR has probably given me more music goosebumps than Tina Turner, but how she turned this song into something else is one of those instances where the original song is surpassed by the cover. I saw something in passing where John Fogerty praised her version.

RIP, Tina. First Gordon Lightfoot, now you. When is God going to kill all the members of Nickelback?
