I was among the first invited to the Beta because of my legacy status (player of GOW since 06) but you could sign up and get a code at there forums. It may not be too late, go to gearsofwar.com And yeah its the remake of GOW1, so far beside some minor bugs it feel good online.

As for GOW4 im enthousiast about it. Judgment campaign (cause i still liked the multiplayer) was weak cause not only where existing character really toned down, but the main story was boring and served no purpose, and it didn't include any NPC beside Loomis. I mean hell after GOW3 where there was Bernie, Hoffman, and so many playable characters you would expect a lot more. But it was just point a to point b squad campaign with horde mode in the middle and a weak sauce vilain...

Shenmue 2 was not released on dreamcast in North America, but it was later on Xbox. May explain why you never knew it.

Mario RPG... hum never actually played it. On wich consol was it?

Cute ? I just don't get the craze over video games. I know people who play these things 16 hours a day, when do they sleep and work ? 2hrs with Lily or 16 hours of video play......which would you rather ?

Just because some of us play video games dont mean we dont enjoy the company of a woman,i never booked lily but ill take her ovee videogames anyday of the week.
I get what your saying and its true for some people gaming is a problem but for many its not diffrent than reading a book.
Once i was 2 kills away from having my first ever tactical nuke on highrise believe me bru, it takes a special woman to raise my heartbeat to the same level lol

LOL yeah people that don't play video games will never understand this. Personally i was not that a fan of MW2, many things where not my style and no need to go into details about it, but if i where to get such a killstreak i would had go crazy. Yesterday i scored a perfect game on titanfall, those are always awesome to get. But what made me the most nervous in shooters was a final standown in GOW for the game winner. 1 on 1, if i win, we win the game, if i loose its over for us. You have your friends in the mic who get as nervous as you watching you play :p

Anyway, people still imagine video games are only mario bros jumping on Goombas and that all there is. Video Games evolved so much, it literally became a JOB for some people. Some people play for money online. Other may not do it but still see the competitive aspect of it and the need to always get better.

Mario RPG was on SNES. I'm honestly not sure if I can give an objective view of it at this point as it is a game I grew up playing, but to me it is a classic rpg up there with chrono trigger and any of the FF. The hours of play with my cousin and secrets to uncover in the game were truly exhaustive. The only games I enjoyed more in childhood were killer instinct, Mario kart, bomberman, and the entire megaman franchise. Nintendo rules. Now and always.

Uhh.. Solid Snake I hope you're not my cousin cause I have the exact same memories of super mario RPG... and chrono trigger.
I used to bride him with food so he would sit on my couch and beat hard bosses for me... hahaha

Ah,

I kinda missed on a lot in the SNES era, i extended the NES longer than most, then eventually got a N64 for birthday. I experienced SNES(as well as Genesis) mostly at friend's place and "maison des jeunes" and i got one later on afterr the N64. But i missed on lots of titles. Still got to play Mario World, Mortal Kombat and some others a lot.

I will politely disagree with you on Nintendo. I think by the N64 they lost there edge already to the PS1, even if the consol on there side was stronger. But it was still a fairly competitive gen, after that they declined... My Game Cube was mostly used to play Phantasy Star Online but when i left the game, it took dust until the release of Resident Evil 4, and then after that i just sold it. I was barely playing it, was way more on my PS2 and Xbox. Xbox became my home, i choose the 360 for the next generation and had no regret, i realized i loved online shooters and i became mostly an online gamer. I still do offline stories of course but i mostly play online. This gen, i kept with Xbox as well, i have a friend list, lots of gamerscore, didn't want to change that. But i will agree that Sony had interesting stuff this gen and i was tempted to get a PS4 at some point, but Gears of War is too much a must for me to leave Xbox lol.

To get back on Nintendo, the Wii sold well but it was a gimmick that appealed to lots of casuals, i know lots of people that purchased the consol but barely played it. I personally only wanted to play the resident evil on rail that where release on it and thats about it. As for the Wii U i have absolutely no interest in it, and its kinda failing a lot in sale too. The only thing that seem to make it work still is that japan is a shitty place for Xbox, they barely sell any consol there, so Nintendo still has a part of the market. In North America tough, different story.

In any case mayb its because i grew up, and Nintendo "family titles" don't appeal to me like when i was a kid. I love Mario 64 but i barely tough Sunshine was ok at best, and i later tried Galaxy at a friend's place and had no interest in it. But yeah this is just me and my style, there still lot of people enjoying those game, actually lots of people buy a Nintendo consol as a secondary consol just for the nintendo exclusive. If your a gamer, you CAN'T solely buy a nintendo consol anymore, thus why i said they lost it over the years. You either have to get a PS4/X1 or game on PC at the same time. Third party support for Nintendo is desastrous.

Not into the RPG scene, as I constantly feel like its a grind to get to your goal. Don't get me wrong, I see the appeal and I know I'm in the minority. However I do enjoy watching my friends play RPGs. I watched my friend play the whole Final fantasy 7 game.

I like short skill-based games like Counter Strike, dota 2, Starcraft 2.

A RPG has to be very nicely done to catch my eyes and make me feel into this world. I need it to be real time too. I don't like turn by turn. And i don't do many cause as you say they require you to disapear from the map for a week or 2 lol. Elder Scrolls are a must play for me. Then i like Fable and did some others over the years too.

Anyway here somethin that could interest you about Mario RPG
