2 clients et 4 proxénètes arrêtés en marge du Grand Prix de Formule 1 cette année à Montréal

This seemed to went under the radar but police interviewed in total 300 sex workers and found out no one was doing it against their will and none requested any help.
They also did a fake ad on websites, they received about 130 replies from potential customers, the fake girl in the ad told her she was not 18 an in the end only 2 guys still wanted to go ahead.

Thanks for that link. I did a more precise count while listening to that broadcast. Here's a summary:

The worst thing that the police did was to arrange fake dates with 27 different escorts! The broadcast did not specify who they were but I suspect that they were girls advertising on free websites whose ads suggested that they were "young." When the girls arrived at whatever place the police had set up for the fake rendezvous, the police checked their identities and asked them if they wanted to be "helped." All the girls were of legal age and all refused "help." The police did not compensate the girls for their time or transportation costs. Outrageous. No wonder so many escorts hate the police. With friends like that who needs enemies?

The police visited 22 "bars" (presumably strip clubs). They checked the identities of 284 dancers and found no underage girls. They did find a few non-citizens who were referred to immigration authorities (I wonder if there were any Syrians among them. :D )

Police visited 30 massage parlors. They interviewed 52 girls and found no minors among them.

Police ran an entrapment scheme by placing a fake escort ad suggesting the availability of an underage girl on some free web site and 120 men showed some initial interest in the fictional underage girl. However, all but 2 men backed out of a meeting when the fake girl clearly identified her age as "17." The two idiots who went to meet the fictional girl were arrested.

So there are the results of the "massive" operation by the police during the Grand Prix.

After all the bullshit PR; after all the police time that could have been spent chasing real criminals; and after all the time, effort and money wasted by everyone who was involved, the end result was 2 poor schmucks getting arrested for trying to commit a crime arranged by the police against a victim who did not actually exist.

They must have done something wrong. Not enough cops. Not enough hard work. Not enough intelligence gathering. It is obvious that the massage parlour owners did put their slaves in chains and transported them in a hidden damp basement where they they were fed rotten bread during 4 days. They hired at high price some replacement girls, not true sex workers, in order to respond to the police. I have heard from my contacts in the business that all the slaves were brought back in the parlours after the grand prix. They represent 98% of the work force in mp's. Also all the slave dancers were brought in the few clubs that the cops did not visit. I mean come on, the average age of the strip club dancers is 16, of masseuses 17 and escorts just short of 18. LE must have done something wrong.

This has to be it. They must have been chained in a cave somewhere....they were probably flogged nightly as well.

Gugu, I am noticing a trend All the girls that work as escorts are being weighed down by gold jewelry. They all have several thick gold chains on. What do you think is going on here? Do you think that these chains are used to chain the girls up at night after their shifts are over or are the pimps making them wear so much gold because the shear mass of the of the dense metal slows them down. Think about it....with all those gem stones and all that precious metal they must each have an extra 10 lbs on. It must be harder for them to run away from their awful jobs with the added weight? The gold slows them down and they are easily run down by those guys wearing the hot-pink velvet suits that they work for?
