chuckle. you remind me of maybe a decade earlier i took a one-one and half hour flight from one city within mainland china, to another city, using a mainland domestic carrier, perhaps a discount carrier. my friend at the time, did the arrangements. there was meal service to my surprise. it came in warmed throwaway aluminum trays with a top "seal" of a edge crimped paper thin aluminum foil.

I opened it up out of curiosity. it was rice with something. And it didn't look like anything of decent quality, but what bothered me most was I'd been used to meals being sealed. This was my first use of a mainland China carrier on a domestic flight within.

I looked around me. the locals were wolfing it up, but I decided to pass. No need for me to eat on just a short flight.

A 2 hour trial sounds like "instant justice" to me, sort of like instant coffee. I wonder how much of that 2 hours was spent on the defense of Mr. Kovrig? I also wonder how it is that this guy brokered a meeting and friendship between Kim Jong Un and Dennis Rodman, but now Kim cannot help him out. Does Kim have no voice with the Chinese? Or do they see Kovrig as a dual Canadian and North Korean spy?
