Hi, all. A newbie here. I am currently looking to meet one SP whose ad I found attractive. We've texted each other briefly, and I intend to set up a date in a week and a half. I just learned that there is another SP with an identical ad down to the last word. One thing I also learned is that these two SPs have the same phone number. Now, I also noted that both do offer duos. So, is possible that they are duo partners in question? Is sharing a number between two SPs a common occurrence? Frankly speaking, when I saw these two identical ads, I immediately thought, "scam." Any thoughts, Merb Community? Thanks.

Welcome to Merb. It's great to see a newcomer who takes the time to ask questions before engaging with a service provider, especially if they have suspicions about anything unusual.

You've come to the right place to seek information about the sex industry. In my opinion, the situation you've described is a common occurrence on platforms like Leolist, where multiple service providers use the same phone number.

There could be several reasons for this. One possibility, as you mentioned, is that the providers may be associated with another service provider and are sharing the same phone number. However, given the prevalence of new technologies that allow individuals to have multiple phone numbers through applications like TextPlus, the likelihood of this scenario is minimal.

Another explanation could be that they share the same pimp or booker. Additionally, as you noted, there is a possibility of a scam. It's important to consider that it is likely either a scam or a situation where they share the same booker or pimp.

If I were in your shoes, I would recommend conducting a more thorough search on Google using the phone number. This search may lead you to other relevant links or websites that could provide more insight into the phone number or service provider in question.

You can also check this forum's review threads to see with the last four number has been mentioned in the incall or outcall sections. Look for verification status in the posts to gauge their credibility.

If you share all the relevant information with me via private message, I can help you determine if it's a scam or a bait-and-switch tactic.

Best of luck in your endeavors!

Thanks for the kind words, Obvio. Some things I neglected to put into my original post. Yes, the ads, in question, I found in Leolist. I know that this site has a dodgy reputation, at best. Incidentally, I brought up the "bait and switch" scenario with her, and she texted me back with, "No worries, babe." Also, I found something else strange. A couple of days ago, I wrote her saying that everything was set for the specified date a week and a half from now, and she sent me a string of strange replies, linking my many replies to her together, using the following words en francais: "a retire la mention <rires> de, etc. When I replied with a ??? and "Why did you write "withdrawing laughter" to all my e-mails," she simply wrote back, "No, that's fine babe." Huh?? Obvio, I will follow your advice and check this number. The comparison between the two providers sharing the same phone number was interesting also. The one I'm interested in has photos, but none showing her face. Also, her photos seemed like they were touched up somewhat in a soft light, or slightly blurred. Meanwhile, the other provider fully showed her face in "real photos" and was "verified." I realize that the status, "verified" is not an indication of verification on a site like Leolist. I do have other providers lined up in case this one doesn't pass the verification tests. Circumnavigating the sex industry is cerainly a task fraught with many a pitfall. However, many a gem can be found among the dross, the scamsters and the like, if one looks hard enough. Obvio, could you and others, like Halloween Mike, give any insight into these other points I brought up in this post? I would be grateful. Thanks.

Welcome, my friend. It seems like the strange responses you received could be from a third-party or encrypted application, which is definitely odd and concerning.

If I were in your shoes, I would conduct further research on the points I mentioned in my initial post.

It appears that you have some experience on the web, especially since you recognized Leolist as questionable. For those who are unfamiliar with Leolist, they often have high expectations based on the enticing posts and pictures, only to be disappointed by scams, horrible service or bait-and-switch tactics.

Personally, I would stay away from platforms like LeoList and instead focus on agencies that advertise on this forums.

This way, you can receive accurate descriptions, pictures, and better services at a lower cost compared to service providers on Leolist.

Thanks again, Obvio. I liked this from you:

Would you be able to give me just a few names of agencies that advertise here, please? Thanks. I did as you asked and I found some rather interesting info about the phone number in question. I will communicate this to you in my posting. Thanks again.

You can verify with tineye if pics comes from other sites where they are generally available.
Another thing is to go on canada411.ca and verify if the number was issued by a renown provider like bell, rodgers, Vidéotron, etc
Not 100% bullet proof but at least you know your peer is not somewhat hiding behind the smoke screen of a phone app.

This is a very simple issue. Nothing odd or concerning. Unless having a samsung is... lol That's what samsung receive when an IPhone reacts to a message and then retrieve the reaction.
Here i did a test to show you how it works
-I wrote from a samsung to an apple
-I liked the message from apple

This is simple :) and here what it shows when the IPhone user remove the reaction from the message.
