Using imagination vs visual

I don't know if this is weird to ask but after a chat with a friend I'm kind of curious about other people.

A straight male friend of mine mentioned that he didn't watch porn. I think it's a bit out of the norm and most men watch some porn. I've heard some women who weren't into porn for various reasons but a lot of women enjoy it.

Anyway so when I reacted surprised and asked what he used for wanking, he said he just used his imagination. He seemed to think think that my inability (or difficulty) to get turned on by images formed in my head, was really weird.


If I'm alone and the element of being turned on by a partner, it is way better and easier to masturbate if I have the visual stimulation. Not complex sex scenarios. A specific thing and that's the only porn that interests me.

I think because men are already predisposed to be horny... they just need it more, and visual stimulation is enough to get us over the edge. I have been told by a female psychologist that women who watch porn, tend to be very picky about their porn, well a lot more than men, they need to find the porn that satisfy their taste, their mood, and their fantasies. Men have preferences also, but if we had to, we would could get the job done with a piece of fruit and a stick figure drawing we made ourselves.

Personally, its much easier with visual stimulation but I can fully use my imagination if I wanted to. I also think there are some guys who have the peace of mind to get as much satisfaction from using their imagination, I think my problem, is that mine goes rogue.
