What are you grateful for today?

Today I’m grateful for the lady in the streets that told me I was beautiful. Sometimes I feel so awkward socially when I dress certain ways and it reassured me that I wasn’t out of place in a way.
I remember once, there was this really beautiful girl who was looking at me .. and I was confused because I couldn't tell what the look on her face was. I looked back and she said "sorry I looked, your style is just so cool and you are so pretty". I could have cried!
I get it, being recognized by other women is so validating.
It's true. Lately whenever I get a genuine compliment on the street it's by a woman. 
I'm very grateful for the hard work accomplished by the garbage collection workers who are picking up significantly abnormal quantity of trash after the flooding in the west Island. They have been truly fantastic working in all weather since the flooding on June 20th.
Yes parts of Pierrefonds and DDO were flooded a few weeks ago. Near St Jean Blvd. In one of our buildings it's the 4th flood since 2017.
I see. In my district 2 years ago with the huge rainfall lot of damages but previous weeks were manageable somehow. Not sure if it's due to the district maintenance
It's caused by the massive influx of population from new condos and appartment buildings in the area that overcrowded the sewer system. The reserve is now used all the time and there's no room for the overflow from heavy rain.
So between climate change and population growth we are screwed. The WI was designed for single family homes not condo buildings. The sewer is at over capacity.
Hum…I think I would be too shy to do so…It's true. Lately whenever I get a genuine compliment on the street it's by a woman.
What I mean is that if a woman compliments you, it's because she thinks you're really cool and beautiful. Cat calls aren't compliments to me.
So thankful for karma and the memes after Belgium beat the American squad at the World Cup.
Grateful for my upcoming camping trip going to Algonquin park. Looking forward to disconnecting.
I'm grateful my landscapist took care of that maple tree hanging over my fence. Took care=cut those damn invasive branches. Yay!
Mediterranean family cruise and managed to come home safely without a doctor visit amongst all of us.
Man was it hot in Europe and they have a whole different concept about AC there unfortunately.

Despite the hectic morning and having a noisy bunch (c.f. bitching thread) I'm grateful for a farniente beach day
