Didn't bother since we already have threads made for both tv shows an sitcoms.

I don't understand what you mean...

"I" Didn't bother "making a difference"...

Sitcom is short for Situation comedy and is 'supposed' to be about a day-to-day life situation in which recurring characters take part in humorous storylines centred on a common environment, such as a family home or workplace isn't it ?

Yet life is so screwed-up anyway that even in sitcoms the absurd is pushed to a degree which wouldn't normaly happen anyway in a 'day-to-day' kinda life.

So why bother making a difference ?... since we already have threads anyway on these :)

Savvy :)

If I have to choose just one series, it has to be this one, SOAP . Filled with lunatic characters (on what other show would you get a super-sarcastic ventriloquist's dummy named Bob? or Burt the invisible impotent man, Billy Crystal the openly gay old jewish man, and on and on?) EVERYBODY on this show was crazy!!) They sent up all these story staples from regular soap operas , but jacked them up with super steroids- from a regular murder-mystery, to a mafia kidnapping, then to a latin american revolution, to an alien abduction---not too many other shows that are as diverse)

Seinfeld is a personal close second, but SOAP is the man...

And by the way, for the guys who keep submitting shows like Hill Street Blues and Dukes of Hazzard, you boys really need to look up the definition of what a SITCOM is...

I forgot about that show. I liked Chuck and Bob the ventriliquist act. Remember when the phone would ring and it would be Bob calling looking for Chuck? When Danny was to marry a black girl the black girls family was sitting in the living room with Danny's family. There was awkward silence and then Bob (the doll) breaks the ice and says "So, Danny tells me your a family of negros." Burt, Dutch, the senile grandpa that thought he was still fighting world war II. What a great cast!

Hey there SHIJAK. Very sorry for offending you by misreading that this was a SITCOM thread. It seems that my 2nd post apology was not good enough for you so I have delete my two posts from this thread. I hope that you get over my mistake.

Huh?!?

Offended? Some people are really quite thin-skinned here...Wouldn't it be simpler just to reply:

"Geez, sorry, my bad, I misunderstood the thread topic. Here's some of my favorite sitcoms...:"

That's just it, I was calling you thin skinned. I did apologize in my since deleted 2nd quote on this subject but you still made the comment. I made a big deal about this because I am sick of all the nit pickers on this board. Those that take great satisfaction from pointing out mistakes no matter how small. I get that at work all day and on the Blackberry all night. I don't need it here. Sorry that you are the target of my rant SHIJAK. I have spent countless time going through many thread posts that have this same problem which certainly one of you will point out that I am doing the very same thing with this post. So here is my congrats to all of you in advance and let me just say that I will from now on stick to reviews (Lap, Tug, Street BJ) and I challenge the rest of the members to do the same. Maybe if it gets better I will start to reveal more of my hidden gems that I am trying to keep to myself.
