i can spend 3k a month but usually its around 6k a year

I only see Indys so my sweet spot is above that range.
I look more at the person that I like seeing rather than the price.
I would rather see someone that I am nuts about a few times less than a multitude of women just to be able to say that I have seen so many.

And if the rate increased quite a lot in the recent years, my barrier tend to actually decrease.
I mean it is still 200/H but I rather go to 30 min sessions now except with my atf's which is always 1h.
I like the term sweet spot because for me it is really the acceptable amount I'm willing to pay according to my financial capability and still make the "GFE" session "believable".
Above this amount, It makes the whole experience too business wise which, even if the SP has an amazing attitude and service, is a bit of a turn off.
I could keep from going to see SP for few weeks to save to go see 240+ sp's but I would probably not repeat. Or would not be able to repeat as much as I would like...

Same here, i started booking more 30 min. sessions, something i was not doing before. At 240$/H, i'm much more reluctant to TOFTT, i'm going with sure value and i don't repeat as much as i did before. It's just too much money to risk a bad session, low chemistry, etc. I don't mind agencies but used to prefer indies because of the more direct contact, but i rarely see them anymore.
220 i think is a good price, usually i add 40 for the cim extra so that make it 260, wich is enough for me.
But if there is a girl i really want to see and she is 240, ill pay the 240.

I won't lie, i hope prices are locked for at least 2 years before another increase in general in the business, cause i think prices in general have been going up a bit faster than normal inflation, but i could be wrong.
I think some agencies offer half hours incall, i may try it once this summer as im coming to Montreal 3 times in 3 months (music shows + comiccon) and hotel are abysmally expensive during that time, The thing is i think its what, 170 for half hour, 230 for 1h? The second hour is only 60 more... that being said i rarely have sex for more than 30 mins, so technically i could be fine having sex for 20/25 (rest being for shower) but that would mean no chit chat whatsoever.
Would it look weird if i arrive, shower, drop the money and ask right away to start up without conversation? I do like a small intro when i receive in my hotel room... it make the meeting more than just "wam back thank you mam", i like to get to "know" a bit the person. But if i chat in a 30 mins meeting, ill end up with 15 mins of sex, thats not a lot.
Guess ill have to try it and see what happen, i supose it would be better trying it with somebody i already seen before.

Yes they have gone up fast however they were extremely low compared to other Canadian cities. I lived and worked in Vancouver for many years. When I first started in 2006, the average rate was around $300/hr. Of course there was lower rates in Asian massage parlours and other providers, as there always is. But $300 was average.
It was probably half that amount here. I was so cheap. A few of us who visit seve cities but there was no point in coming to Montreal because the rates were so low. I did work a bit but that's because I was also here for visiting friends and family. It would never have been a profitable tour like Calgary or even Edmonton.
There was also very little incall here, it was mostly outcalls and not that many independents. In Vancouver it was incall that was popular and many established independents. I remember when Calgary was hot and full of money, travelling escorts from BC were all independents. Montreal escorts were almost all managed by an agency.
Average rates in Vancouver have not increased much, if at all in over a decade. Montreal has just caught up. Cost of living here has also increased significantly. We felt sorry for the girls here, same as the Asian parlour girls in Vancouver. They were seriously underpaid.

Im not sure its a good comparison. It seem Montreal has been profitable from the high traffic of the USA (of course before Covid) coming from different cities giving lots of business and the peoples actually made the trip especially due to the rates...wich may not be the case for the west. And im not sure if the comparison is favorable in the other side. I mean, i see providers in the USA go for 1000$/h, thats an ammount i could never pay personally. Even 400$ for 1h is a mega think about it twice, thats a lot of money, thats more than a weekly pay for me... :O
I think there is some kind of unwritten rule that going indy immediately mean increasing rates by 100-150$ and thats kinda the part im less of a fan. I get that being indy mean paying for an incall and transportation yourself + advertising fees, but you also do not pay an agency quote on every hours. So going up from 250 to 400 in one go, thats a huge increase imo.
Anyway. Personally i will admit i am more akin to the concept of agencies over indies even if not taking the price difference in consideration, i find it easier to deal with them. You just send a text and things get set up fast while indies is a lot more in term of booking. Some requiring screenings and/or deposits and such. Its a different thing if you become a regular, and even with my very sporadic bookings (4-5 a year) i do have seen some indies multiple times when they stay available for years so once they know you and all it become effortless to book but initial contacting is different depending on the provider.
Ultimately i am happy i can still enjoy this hobby for 240-260$, wich still seem like a fair price for today. I just wish there is no drastic jump in the near futur because that would mean cutting 1 booking per year lol.
