Okay everyone, aside from the endless selection of beauties your city and country has to offer — what all is there to do in Montreal?
I will be here Friday-Monday.
So far on my list of things Is

-Mount Royal
-Toronto vs Montreal hockey game (my first hockey game ever)
-snow boarding (I’m from Florida.. so I know the slopes aren’t Rocky Mountain crazy in the city, but it will be better then nothing?)
-marijuana (not legal recreationally in Florida)

For those of you who are from here, are there any hidden gems that I should be checking out?
I prefer fine dining/exquisite cuisine (things out of the norm)
Scenic views
History
Culture.

Finally, I am from a state where you wear shorts and a t shirt 10-11 months out of the year. Just how cold does it feel out there? What kind of attire should I bring? I purchased thermal under pants and shirts, a neck warmer, beanie, and a ski jacket.

Thank you all in advance!

Don't forget winter boots (and not just spring or fall boots). Beanies are fine but you will see that people wear thick scarves and hats here, usually made of wool. Keep your toes, fingers and ears warm.

There is no ski station in the city, but an hour and a half or so outside of Montreal you can find some decent mountains for a fun afternoon of snowboarding.

As for restaurant suggestions, you could try Le Violon, Beba, or Mon Lapin. All delicious!

Wait, there are more than one type of boots?? Oh lord.
What’s the difference between fall and winter boots? I was going to bring one of my pair of work boots. Link below

Is this not suffice? If not I’ll go ahead and order a pair. I won’t find winter boots in Florida I fear. :(

Thank you!!

I’m going to do my best to try all of those places!! Starting with beba though!

They are waterproof, so it should be fine with thick merino socks. Winter boots are waterproof but keep your feet warm, very warm. Toes are freezing easily in this cold!

Happy to read you will go to Beba! Have one of their knish, you won't regret!
