If it is before noon I usually bring sparkling wine and orange juice for a Mimosa or as a change peach juice instead of the usual orange juice, it makes for a nice refreshing drink and goes well with cannolis.
My ATF loves cannolis and wine, most SP seem to like the combination.
I did strike out once, the lady turned out to be lactose intolerant, to top it off she sprained her back during her shower getting ready so she invited me in and made a nice espresso, we talked for a half hour, I left her the wine and ate half of the cannolis on my way home. I never did get around to seeing her again, nice looking woman and pleasant to talk to but had a laugh like nails scratching on a blackboard, I don’t think I would of made it through the 90 minutes without ear plugs lol.
The problem with scones is there is now such a wide variety in size, taste, and most significantly texture. Your standard issue scones look something like this:
But then you have assorted mutant bastardizations, for example this one is called a scone, but it's texture is harder and more brittle like a biscotti, and is truly more of a scone-biscotti hybrid than a purebred scone:

Apparently not for Fradi! I can’t imagine gettin goood ones in MTL. I’ve had decent ones in London, decent to put it. Best ones I’ve had were in Little Italy in NYC. Especially during the San Gennaro, OMG. Take a lady to that to impress for a brunch espresso and cannoli and you r sure to get banged senseless

Mulberry Street in September. You will not find better Cannolis anywhere. Within the San Gennaro Festival there is actually a Cannoli Festival.
I stick with what the SP that I visit likes.
Seems the ones I visit have a sweet tooth and love cannolis.
