You can buy frozen croissants in most grocery chains like IGA, Loblaw and Super C . Last month I paid 6$ for a dozen.
If you want a change up .....you can add chocolate or cheese while baking them.

trois patapoufs sur Ontario à Hochelaga ou les copains d'abord sur rue mt royal à Plateau
MERCI!, I will have to check out trois patapoufs. Les Copains they have multiple locations, I thought their croissant was just alright.

ie: Petit Paris, also on Rue Mt Royal/ Plateau, it's okay.

Today I tried finally,

It is not very particularly crispy, however the flavor and inner moisture is better than Petit Paris and Les Copains.

les co'pains on rue Mt Royal is the better one. But I really liked the croissants from les trois patapoufs. It was very early in the morning and in the days before covid, and I had been awake all night on lsd so that might have influenced my taste

Two good lists:

I like Hof, Fous Desserts & Olive and Gourmando.

i used to like Fous however it has fallen down in my list,,, visually, theirs is not pale which is great, and their yield has very nice consistency amongst each other. Tastewise its on the dry side and low on beurré aroma.

Hof is good visually as well, not pale... also noticably above avg in price...near $3 if I recall... was not stunning for the price is best I recall of theirs. I do love their bobka

have not tried Gourmando but recall that place looks $$$$$

i have seen that tastet list before. btw croissant croissant's croissant sucks, i was highly disappointed. The unassuming mister pinchont I'd take it above CCs.

Agree on Fous, still good but not as good. Ownership change.

No one mentioned Paltoquet in Outremont? French owner, it's a classic, it's been there for yrs. Clientele is about 80% French. On Van Horne next to Stanislas the French private school. Real croissant, not huge, no extra sugar coating, just pure 100% butter croissant, chocolatine and almond croissant. He has great pies as well comme les font les Français. Very busy on weekends because they serve French style breakfast so don't get there too late it will be sold out. And it is not expensive at all.

Bonjour. I visited them once, will have to head back when in the area. i found them possibly a tad dry... yes they are the smallest croissants i have seen and not marketed as mini.

The 9 Best Croissants In Montreal, According To People From France

You butter believe it!

from this list I already experienced some, but chose to try out for my first time,

De Froment et de Sève

They make mini croissants, but their regular sized are huge, like american puffy croissants. but cheap, under $2.50 for such big size and they lower the cost per six.

my bag was spotty greased after about 5 min... easily after 30 min. i had a good feeling about this....

yummy... pull apart layers with some tension (gluten evident like a roti) the inner layers can compress onto itself as it is so moist. evident taste of butter and aroma. This one is easily on my first try.... within my top 1-2-3 out of over a dozen places i have sampled. but looks huge and rather puffy, cresent shaped. Their other items are huge too...

their baguettes are $3+, award winning i think i saw a sign.
