Anyway, my theory --- based purely on my own experience and with only a modest probability of being correct --- is that the more a man masturbates, the more likely he is to fixate on lesbian sex.

Men masturbate to pictures. The sight of a woman having sex is a wonderful thing; the sight of a man having sex is not (at least to most other men). So instead of a man and woman having sex, you have a woman and a woman. The more you look at such scenes, the deeper the association grows. Pretty soon the thought of girl-on-girl automatically triggers horniness.

I agree with all that was said above. I would just like to add an extra reason for why lesbian sex is attractive to men (and even some straight women!). Of the two sexes, the female is more associated with nurturing love(motherhood and such), so there is something very sensual and soft and "loving" about lesbian sex that you dont have with gay men sex. Also, in our society, the attribute of beauty is more associated with women than men, so a beautiful women is a "beautiful thing" (like a work of art), and watching 2 "beautiful things" together interacting is much better and more interesting than one.

I think what some have said that women have shapelier bodies, etc has a bit to do with it. My friend says that male bodies are more "utilitarian", hence not as attractive to look at. I think it's also because in terms of mainstream erotica, two women is also more acceptable than two men.

Yes, straight porn is much better. Lesbian porn gets boring really quickly for many guys because the visuals don't click with their sexual memories. When I have wet dreams (yes even at 30 I still get these) the image in my mind is never two women sticking dilidos in each other, rather it's my penis penetrating a wet slit, getting sucked off, etc.

Best is the FMF, FFMF videos, but there needs to be at least one penis in on the action and at least one money shot at the end. Also sadly if condoms are used in the video the marketability of the video drops dramatically.
