Jalimon, rental properties are a good bet over a 20 year horizon, just like the stock market to ride out the ups and downs. But at least you won that investment, for a significant profit.

I wonder where Boeing's stock price will be in the next 5-10 years. Is is a good time to buy? Their only rival is Airbus, right? And maybe China's new company will become a player.

wow 6x increase

This was in context of Boeng 737 simulators sales by CAE (Montreal company) following announcements for simulators training prior MAX coming
into back to service and a little jump in stock price. This was not meant stock discussion.

If you want to discuss stocks (In a separate stock thread of course) , I think besides Priceline, you should includes these companies in the discussion too
Apple, Amazon, Spotify, Netflix, FB, BITCOIN, Microsoft, Etc, Etc...as they made lots people millionaires. (And boats we missed).

If I had a crystal ball, lots of things would have been different including my stock options.

China and China/Russia collaboration (A350/777 Equivalent) planes will never be bought by the West, they won't have any affect on Airbus or Boeing.
They might do good as Chinese entity, thats different story as China is doing very very good (Thanks to the American companies and all the Americans
(And the world) spending money on Chinese made goods (Except planes of course), (Just ask Trump haha).).

As with Airbus 319/320 accidents some 20+ years ago, all forgotten now as they became very successful planes, the same thing could happen with Boeing.

McDonnel Douglas had big issues with the DC-10 and that plane kept flying for long time and that was the plane I would do anything to avoid,
when internet booking came along and when I knew what kind of plane the company was using on that specific route.
(McDonnell Douglas did OK until they were bought off/merged with Boeing).

Around the corner
I just came back from a trip where 3 out of the 4 planes I flew on were the same as the one that just crashed.
Supposedly they have one of the best safety records of all and one of the most popular planes.

Tell that to the relatives of the 139 dead, I am sure it will cheer them up
Did not mean it like that, just meant the defective MCAS system in the max is not relevant here.

Tragedy no matter what caused it. Comments are that the plane went down from 29,000 feet. That is quite unusual and scary.

It was confirmed by investigators that it was flying level at 29,000 feet when it suddenly nose-dived straight down in a straight line descent. The cause is not known yet.

If I remember well, I was passenger in a good number of flights in 737 but before the Max 8 when Boeing began to screw-up.

This article explains how lucky the people on that plane were. The airplane was still climbing and was at just over 16,000 feet, and all the passengers were still buckled in. If the door had blown out at 38,000 feet cruising altitude, the prssure differential would have been MUCH greater, the incident would have been more violent, and many people would have been sucked out to their deaths, instead of one kid having his shirt sucked off:

More chances are you will win at lottery than crashing with a 737
Nowadays, even a broken cigarette lighter will be reported in medias for this aircraft
