When I was a kid, adults ALWAYS assumed that my freckles would be something I hated. They would always try to say positive things about them trying to make me feel better. Thing is, I never minded my freckles. I didn't love them or hate them. They were just there and I didn't care either way. I got teased mildly but never anything mean and I was well like by other kids so it was just harmless teasing.
(What I did dislike was the fair skin that got sunburned instead of tan like other kids and the ugly ass thick zinc oxide cream my mom covered my nose with and made me feel so ridiculous. To this day, I can't stay in the sun during peak hours like everyone else, even with sunscreen. Or I burn.)
It's only when I got older that I realized that freckles were something many people found unattractive. I don't feel that way personally, I like it on other and there are other things about my body I disliked more that freckles never made it on the list lol
