World cup of hockey 2016 ----who will win

It'd be funny to see Europe win the whole thing in order to show what a sham this whole tournament was!

The World Cup of Hockey should be about countries battling it out for the title, not countries vs continents!

The whole thing is nothing but a big cash-grab by the league's owners. But then again, aren't all professional leagues one big cash grab also?

All it tells me is that the NHL very likely won't be going to the upcoming Olympics, which is perfectly fine with me.

But to be honest....I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHO WINS THE WORLD CUP.

If it's Canada, great. If its Europe, it's also fine with me. The World Cup of Hockey doesn't really mean anything and a few years from now, we'll have forgot who won.

Its not even countries against continents, it is half a country against half a continent. Russia, Sweden, Finland and Czech Republic all had their own teams - yet those countries are in Europe!!! And half of Team North America is Canadians so Team Canada doesn't even have its full compliment of players. The tournament makes a mockery of world geography and if my college modern European history professor saw what they did he would vomit right on the rink. I will never forget my modern European history class when some stoner dude asked professor about the influence of the Bolsheviks in post-World War II and I thought my professor would have a heart attack on the stage. Now those guys that asked those questions are running these tournaments. To me this tournament shows that stupidity and greed triumph over common sense in the sporting world.

True, but none of the players on Team North America would have been able to crack Team Canada's lineup. I'll admit that some of them (such as Jack Eichel) would likely have been able to crack Team USA's lineup.
