Hello everyone,

Since our usual organizer for year-end polls seems missing in action. He used to organize the polls for agencies. He did some for independants as well.

So my question to you, fellow merb users, should we continue the year-end polls? Or should we discontinue them? Let them die?

This poll/survey will end in about 50 days

Cheers,

DDM

From past experience, i can say i do see the ones that win 1st, 2nd, 3rd place etc put it in their advertising, be it indies or agencies. I assume its a "free bonus advertisement". But ultimately it would be more for the women to speak on this. As a client i am happy to name my favorites. If they prefer no poll, i respect that as well.

LOOOOOL I will never forget the girl who called me to complain that she didn’t win and that another girl won because she told her clients to vote for her. Both of them have since then retired
I also haven't forgotten about this and it gives me a headache to think about it lol

I think it's ridiculous but also we're already in a competitive industry and constantly being compared to each other, told that we're not relevant anymore etc. Why make it worse..

My names been on that list once in the top 10, didn’t change anything for me marketing wise so I really don’t care if I make the list or not. Anyways, to me, this industry was supposed to be based on discretion so things like that don’t really make sense to me

The polls are a waste of everyone's time, offering almost zero objective info and from within a captive pool of candidates who campaign to win instead of winning on the merits of their service, while at the same time excluding the vast majority of providers. Nobody with even an ounce of sense takes them seriously. If they die I think it will actually be doing the membership a service.
