I am surprised nobody posted this one because I consider it the best cover of all time and also one of the best live performances of all time. The performance was so good in fact that a fan once approached David Bowie, who wrote this song, and asked him about his version of "Kurt Cobain's song", which so infuriated Bowie that he called him a "snotty little punk":
