Yeah, I had to change to easier difficulty levels for certain games just so I can get through them. Unfortunately my free time is short, so I don't have the luxury to grind or keep playing and dying until I finally get some progress.
It's not always like that though. If I'm really digging the gameplay of the game, I'll sometimes bump up the difficulty (whether its normal or even the highest difficulty (rare)).
