Dr. Joe said it was absolutely the correct call and when you jump in the air with your arms flailing around you invite a penalty call, and in fact the VAR did show a handball. Correct call, and Croatia was appropriately punished with the Griezmann goal. If he did not touch the ball with the hand, there was no call, but he did, so the call had to be made.

It's a basic rule of soccer that you can't touch the ball with your hand. Perisic should know this.

Well let me give Mandzucik break....he did make-up for his mistake by scoring Croatia's 2nd goal!

He did fuck all for Juventus pretty much all year...but at 32 years old he has been playing his heart out for his country Croatia! So he's a good guy in my book!

France has just too much fire power and they are an extremely well coached team. Hats off to Didier Deschamps..."Le Petit Napoléon"!

The two goals scored by Croatia were kind of fluky.....I think the Kante yellow card was really just an accidental collision. Kante was running full speed and the Croatian player got in his path...so that was goal #1. The Mandzucic goal was more or less an own goal by Lloris. Lloris certainly got the assist on that goal.

France looked great at moments even though Croatia outplayed them for stretches......

No the goal cannot pick it up as it was pass to him by his own player. He had to strike or pass it again to a defense much sooner. A goalie should not try to foil a player.

Overall great game. Crushing for Croatia as they were a great team.
