Yup yup yup !! It seem our dear not so charming premier Legault decided that vaccinated or not, bye bye Cinemas, Bars, and the usuals. Do i feel amused right now that i didn't took the vaccine to attend these places? I sure do :p

This is pretty much step one of "Winter is coming" ...

In just a matter of what? A week-end? We gone from 50% capacity to closing. So even tough there is only a few days til Christmas i wouldn't even be surprised they change their mind and limit it even more. Even if they don't, you can be SURE, by January, curfew is coming back along with a bunch of other crazy restrictions. Im sure of it !

Mask are liberty... nop
Vaccine is liberty... nop

Whoopsie !

Seem like if you took the vaccine to keep a decent social life, you got it deep in the... well.. where the sun does not shine.

I personally am laughing so hard for the past hour or so... Its like a dude winning a competition and mocking me only to realize he won a big shiny turd :p

And even tough i lost most hope in Quebecers for the past 2 years, i still keep a TINY hope that THIS is the "goutte qui va faire deborder le vase" , even tough i said it for the curfew and vaccine pass etc before. How much more will they take? I dunno... Hopefully THIS is the one too many thing.

Anyone who got a vaccine only so he could socialize

You would be surprised how much peoples actually did it for these reasons. I know many peoples who ultimately took it either for a social life, travel or for their job when they felt they had no choice anymore. Then you have all the peoples who just took it right away hoping that their "part of the statistic" would help "shut them up" with Covid (remember, at first 75% was supose to be the magic number).

Did 90% got vaccinated? YES

But how many of that 90 did it willingly? The % drop. How many truly deeply wanted it? As in not just "yeah whatever, ill take it if it can help ending this hysteria"... Drop even further.

In the last 30 days, 58 people in the 30-39 age category were hospitalized. 47 of them were not vaccinated.

I am sure those 47 people are laughing their head off thinking they outsmarted the system

On how many cases? How were their health? Their weight? Did they died? How about the 11 others that did took the vaccine?

Covid will kill some. It will make some very sick. Its a fact. We need to accept it. Ultimately its their choices.

People need to understand the real problem is the clogging of our health system. Whatever your opinion on the virus or the vaccine. The consequences are on everyone that needs access to a hospital.
If you're ok with having more hospitals, more beds, more everything then pay up with taxes.

But even then if we choose that route it'll take decades to implement.

I truly hope you don't kill anyone indirectly and that you have suspended your hobbying.

The point is 9x more people represented 5x less cases.

In other words, those 47 people would have been maybe 1 or 2.

Rather than 47 people taking beds it would have been 1 or 2.

But that's not important. You believe we take the vaccine so we can socialize.

LOL...dunno why you're laughing about it, @Halloween Mike. At least we had some freedom from May(?) to now. Meanwhile you've been living in a basement all this time isolated, because you didn't have your vaccination passport!

I think it really sucks (couldn't we get through Xmas, at least?), but am not entirely surprised. Seems like the new norm is Winter = COVID.

By May or so, hopefully things will ease up and get back to "normal".

I think you're missing the main point. "58 people in the 30-39 age category were hospitalized. 47 of them were not vaccinated".

The majority 81% of the people that got infected were NOT vaccinated. Stats don't lie.

Honestly, there's only so much tv/movies/games a person can do before he feels lazy/lethargic.

I was hoping to hit the gym to get back into shape while on break. But that's no longer going to happen, given the current circumstances... :(

Are ski resorts still open? If memory serves, they didn't close them down last winter. So maybe it might be a good idea to buy a season pass to keep busy during winter.

HM, since you didn't take the vaccine, you had to isolate yourself at home.

I don't envy you. Eat, watch tv, and masturbate, what a great life.

For you it will not change anything that everything is closed.

Maybe I'm missing the joke, but what is funny about this? I'm in the US, and would think we would be past this point already, almost 2 years in

Nothing funny. Restaurants are taking a bloodbath and many won't recover. Same for theatres and other entertainment venues. Bars have been hurt bad, this will just make it worst. People being laid off before Christmas in gyms. Families having to make brutal decisions on who they see and can't see. The list goes on.

Very little foresight from the government, compounded by the irresponsible behavior of a minority who turn around and laugh at it. And of course mother nature being a bitch.

HM,

I don’t know why you seem to be enjoying this, we’re in the middle of a worldwide pandemic!! Worldwide, not just in Quebec!!

And why are you picking on Legault? I’m leaving politics out of it, I’m not saying I agree or disagree with his political views.
But they’re making the best decisions based on the CURRENT info, trying to balance between keeping things open/closed vs reducing deaths and not overwhelming the health care system! This virus is constantly changing, no one has all the facts!

Each province at one point or another went into some sort of lockdown. MANY countries in Europe went into lockdown and some are still in lockdown.
It’s not like the local politicians get an enjoyment out of putting restrictions on us.

These people dying and suffering in hospitals are REAL people, not fictional characters in a VIDEO game. How do you feel when you see images of COVID patients incubated? Or are those images false and made up by the media???

I have no clue where you get some of your info and how you view this situation.
We’ll agree to disagree and leave it at that!!!
