Just curious where most merbites are from and how frequent you guys visit if tourist

An SP recently told me she rarely ever get tourists when I saw her in March. Told me tourists don't really come until summer. That surprised me. I always thought it was 50/50 tourist and locals all the time.

Do you go out as much during winter? A lot of people don’t. I rarely hear of people coming to Montréal to party during winter.

A decade ago, I may have concurred with your viewpoint, but presently, the Montreal nightlife scene has lost its charm. Since Covid-19, the nightlife scene has undergone significant challenges that I had never witnessed before. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the closure of several clubs and restaurants while some individuals remain apprehensive about venturing out due to the virus. I believe that the summertime nightlife in Montreal is enhanced by various events such as Grand Prix, Osheaga, île soniq, beach club and piknik. During the winter, the vitality of the nightlife scene is solely maintained by the presence of certain events such as New City Gas, La Palma, Flyjin,Cathcart , Marcus and Igloofest.

I would add also: snowshoeing, snowboarding, dog sledding, hockey, snowball fights and ice fishing.

these are all great and fun activities I don’t know how popular they are for tourists.

Maybe Montréal en lumières and Igloofest too. I was also 90% being facetious.

Toronto is the leader in that. Most major events are now in Toronto nowadays. 25 years ago you would have been right.

Montreal has lost a part of its soul.....ever since COVID....it's just not the same. Boarded up shops and bars, restaurants along St-Catherine.I've seen stores and boutiques close-up shop at 8:00 on a Thursday night because of lack of foot traffic on city streets.Construction everywhere plus you can't find a parking spot anywhere downtown....the city's administration is going nuts over turning this city into one huge bike path. Crescent street is all but dead.....and it ain't any better on St-Denis street either.
