Black women and Asian men are considered least desirable in mainstream opinion. It's exacerbated when you're a fat woman or a skinny man. That could be the dynamic happening there.

I am of Asian heritage, I never felt being less desired than my non Asian counterparts. Of course that is just my personal perspective. I guess it depends where this "mainstream" opinion is originating from.

If they see me outside my professional life then they realize I'm an introvert and I like a lot being alone enjoying music and observing the world. That's when most of those women lose interest.
For the rest still interested (mostly young) then it becomes a roleplay and ask a lot of advices about life. They understand I'm not a saint and I've seen a fairly amount of shit on my life.
A few times I've been in a fantastic platonic relationship because they feel safe and even if they know I'm not a saint they understand that I'll never "make a move".
