Boiled veggies are my kryptonite lol.

But i have a friend wich is an amateur cook and manage to make veggies taste super cool its crazy

For a start they move the grocery store since last year and its not really reachable on foot anymore. So its not like i can go daily and all. When i go i need to pack a lot and use the freezer.

Secondly i REALLY don't like cooking, like at all. so its an issue for me.

But yes i know technically fresh food would be better . But i saw sponsors on youtube that do seem healthy even tough pre made

I get it, it's not convenient. But how far are we talking, really? Once a week doable? Any delivery options? Farmers market nearby? Can you hitch a ride with someone doing their groceries? These are solvable problems. And hell yeah, use that freezer you’re already paying for it.

Not liking cooking? That’s something you’ll need to push through. Maybe it’s because you’re not confident at it, which is normal. But if you want long-term health, processed or restaurant food won’t cut it. You’d be shocked how much salt, sugar, butter and garbage goes into “tasty” meals. They’re designed to make you crave more, not fuel your body.

Also, be real careful with sponsored stuff online. They’re paying to reach someone just like you. Even if it’s healthy, it’s probably 2-3x the price of making it fresh yourself.

Change is always hard. You can lose weight eating wraps again, but the second you stop, you’re back where you started. Learning to cook, even just a few meals pays off forever. That’s a skill no one can take away.

Not trying to lecture, just adding to the pile of people here who give enough of a damn to help.

Just my 2 cents.

PS. Besides junk, what food do you actually enjoy? If price didn’t matter, what would you order at a nice restaurant?

A decent knife that you know how to use and sharpen, a cutting board, a pan and a pot, that goes a long way for a single person. Then its up to you and your will to learn.

I started to learn cooking at a very young age, out of necessity. Today I would only treat myself in nice restaurant that serves high quality and succulent food, otherwise I eat at home, and eat very well.

@Halloween Mike if you happen to be extremely lazy or super busy (not implying you are either since I don't know you), here's a quick lazy cheat guide and it's far healthier than factor and those other sites.

1. Get costco rotisserie chickens. I get the frozen packs that are like 3-5 lbs each and it takes ~ 3 minutes to heat up. There's some moderate sodium but i asked my medical doctor friend and you can offset it with water / potassium (banana) intake
2. Get some veggies like broccoli and some individual steamed rice packages. Also 3-5 minutes to heat up.

If you really desire more taste, you can put some hot sauce or asian sauces on there (gochujang, sambal oelek, chinese black bean sauce, etc)

Here's what will happen:

1. You'll save a ton of money

2. You'll lose a shitton of weight and feel great

3. Imagine the best sex of your life. Ever. Your cheat meals will feel better than that sex whenever you do have them

Once every 2 week or so :/ its far. I mean on foot its doable GOING but coming back with bags that weight... Thats the issue. It used to be at 10m from where i live. And honestly when i came back with packed bags my arms were limp... Im not as strong as i used to. Now its about 3.5x farter. Add a solid hill/street (une criss de grosse cote en francais lol). When it was at the previous place it was the opposite, it was downhill coming with the foods.

And yes i know sponsored stuff can be "gotcha" thus why i ask...

As for your last question....hummm either something chicken base or a good steak? I dunno. Never really been much to high end restaurants and i have very little knowledge about it. Well Jenny did gave me a bite of her food last weekend and it was good lol. But i only ordered drinks myself, didn't order food.

I always said if i was on death row (not that i would commit a crime that would lead me there lol but roll with it) i would probably just ask for Mcdo...or Burger King actually...prefer it to Mcdo these days lol. Im not a fancy dude. But i also always lived a modest live so its not like i have experience much.

No costco in my town (there's one in Sherbrooke but we ain't members). But basically you mean just chicken breasts. Or like chickens that are cooked like at Maxi? In any case chicken is key word right?

Yes to chicken. Honestly everyone's different in terms of what he/she can tolerate but for me personally, I hated it the first two weeks then it became a habit.

There's a cool superpower I developed where if I see sweet desserts, pastries, or fried foods I feel disgusted even looking at them.

After my weight cut is done for conventions or photoshoots I eat half a gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream :p

I tried factors. Around 150$ for 10 meals.

Don't try to do everything at once. It takes 21 days to create new routine. So it's better doing a 5 minutes walk every day than starting with a 60 minutes walk on the first day.
Not cheap... Grocery store is around 8$ a meal. But yeah if better quality i can understand.

And yeah good point for the rest. Thanks for the advice.

I`m a little tipsy... a bit a lot ;)

bro... challenge accepted

You need recipes brother....

There are ways to satisfy urges. There is a parrallel with sex btw.... you can eat, please yourself in ways you never imagined. A little effort goes a very long way... but there are shortcuts.

The cheapest piece of meat, well seasoned properly cooked can be served in a fancy restaurant for 5X its price.

There is pleasure in food... I would like to introduce you to Picanha. Cheap... and fucking flavor.

My point, if you're down, I say we get the community to propose recipes. Goal#1: bon dans la yeule. Goal#2: affordable and healthy.

1) You need a good healthy vinaigrette to mix with veggies
2) 10 minute recipes for protein (chicken, beef, tofu, etc)
3) soupes and sauces (including spag sauces)
4) snacks
5) desserts

I call the community to share their goto answers... (ya... I honestly think this could be a cool experiment)... and ya... I am drunk and my gf is laughing really hard at me right now.

ps. my point, is if you divert your diet by removing 80% of the junk food and replace it with good meals.

1) it will be cheaper (consider your existing expence of daily greasy prepared foods)
2) it will be tastier (you're making it to your own taste)
3) healthier (self made removes a shit ton of fucking 0 energy fillings foods)
4) changing habits = change of results

You up for a challenge brother?

(ps ya, still tipsy)

You can literally cook all these and freeze some of them up. I would splurge on pizza. Homemade pizza isn't as good as restaurant pizza

Cooking isn't easy, it can be a pain. The trick is making big batch, freeze it and be ok with leftovers for days which will allow you to go out here and there when you want to change up
