What do you do for Halloween ?

I have my own approach :

I'm too old to go trick-or-treating yet too young to have a house to give candies lol. What I like to do is put a costume on, and walk the streets with a box of candies that I give to the kids with the nicest costumes on the streets. Parents always seem pleased with this, it's unexpected

What about you ? What do you usually do on Halloween ? What will you do this evening ?

I have a costume that I have had for years, https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1124/9324/products/MidnightHowler_1024x1024.jpeg?v=1472490555, like this one but I made to leggings to match. I have had kids running from my house screaming, the house is done up outside also, starts with the theme song from Halloween when you walk up the driveway and I build a cave around the front door. The costume is fine for that but not so user friendly at parties as you need to take the head gear off to drink or smoke.
If the weather is nice I have a fake body wrapped in a white sheet that I drag around the area by the neck with a rope.

So cool hahaha ! When I was a kid Halloween scared the shit out of me. I would totally have been one of the kids who runs away from your house XD

I remember once being so scared by a haunted house near my grandparents house that I dropped my entire bag of candies. They gave me ALL their candies because they felt bad that they scared a little girl that much LOL


Another time I was scared of a witch so she asked me across the street if I wanted my mom to come get the candies for me instead and I said something like "NO NO NO mom don't go she will harm you this mean witch !!!" Hahaha how cute was I...

Going out with the kids and their friends as they hop from house to house. My role is trying them not to get killed as they cross the streets running and not looking anywhere as they are nuts and do not listen to anything you say anyhow!

So far nothing, don't think ill do anything today. The party was fun this weekend, i was able to do something for Halloween even tough not on the day itself. My only regret is not having done my make up. Maybe ill do that today... just to take a few pics lol. Kinda wasted nearly 20$ on this so not using it ... lol

Next year its decided... ill see someone on Halloween, in costume and everything !! This year it was impossible tough.

Stay home to avoid the drunks...

I always decorate outside of my place and have plenty of treats on hand for the kids. Yesterday I had over 100 show up at my door and many of them complimented me on the decorations. I always ensure that I give them the quality treats and make sure that they are individually wrapped ( some of the sicko's put all kinds of crap into Halloween treats. I love the kids and they seem to enjoy coming to my door.

One year when I was still with my ex, I dressed as a scarecrow and placed my self in a lawn chair next to the walk with my body all askew. When the kids went to the door I wouldn't move but when they turned to leave I would stand and walk towards them making noise. I'm sure that year a number of them stained their underwear, at least the screams were real. I love Halloween and love having fun with it.

At the moment i go to sleep pretty early wich is annoying. I managed to keep my "Halloween Movie Watchlist" going but in reverse lately... Like i get up at 1-2am and i watch the movie while its dark before the sun rise

That said today i seem to do better. 1:30pm and im still not tired at all. Got dentist appointement at 2:40 tough so not like i have much choice but to stay up.

What i would like to do is watch The Haunted Mansion (remake), wich i have not seen yet, on Halloween. Hopefully after sunset in the evening. Watched the trailer and it look pretty cool. Never saw the original either (gotta have to put it on my list at some point). I may watch another before and i have a few more to watch after (i do this from early/mid september to mid november instead of 31 straight days in October like some, because its too overwelming). I added a screenshot of the list so far. Hoping to reach at least 22 movies total but going for 25 if i don't get burned out before. Last day is November 15, after that its 2 week break til Christmas season start lol.
