J’ai regardé son but à quelques reprises. De toute beauté, de la vitesse pure.
Roadrunner 2.0I think Newhook should be Mayor of Montreal. He is coming off a disappointing 26 point season and is eager to show it's not who he is. So far, he is a much better .75 point per game player.
Mouaip, il pouvait faire mieux. J'suis d'accord.
He was a 70 point defenseman just 2 years ago with NYI (their first one since Denis Potvin in 1984), but his early production has indeed been far below that. Perhaps it is the adjustment to playing a new system with new pairings on a new team. At age 25, you would think his best days are still ahead of him.The only real dog on the team so far this year is Dobson. Been terrible in his own end and made minimal offensive impact. He might come around but early returns have not been good.
Thats the key for the Habs, not stubbornly bet on Monty as the definite #1.Still, they make a great tandem and should be utilized as such.
They also start and finish strong but have lulls mid game. They can get away with that with lesser teams but the top teams will make them pay.
Thats what Marty Saint-Louis says, still in adjustment mode, I hope he’s right. And besides the last game, him and Matheson were playing very strong minutes defensively.Perhaps it is the adjustment to playing a new system with new pairings on a new team.
I don’t worry. He very probably won’t have stellar numbers like he did in the past just because he’s not on PP1.Thats what Marty Saint-Louis says, still in adjustment mode, I hope he’s right. And besides the last game, him and Matheson were playing very strong minutes defensively.
Some Habs players are starting to show serious numbers in the stats column.
Besides the obvious Suzy and Caufield, our pair of rookies are battling for the Calder, Demidov with 13 points and Kapanen with 6 goals! And now Newhook and Dach with respectively 6 and 5 goals. If these 2 are starting to, finaly play to the expectations due to their rank sélections, fans at the Bell Center can hope for a lot of fun nights.
The rest of the league will have to consider the Habs as one of the hardest team to play against.
The current management team have put together a very good young core that has gotten/is getting experience and growing together. I think they are getting closer to being a Stanley Cup contender. I think they will be very good for the next 6-10 years. Some Habs players are starting to show serious numbers in the stats column.

I think next year will be their first real shot at it. Hugues will have hire a 2nd solid, veteran center by then. And maybe some more weight for the 4th line.. I think they are getting closer to being a Stanley Cup contender.
