Bonne semaine pour le CH!
On s'est tappé les Leafs, le Kraken et les Golden Knights.
Demain Colorado, petite fiche de 17-1-6. Watatow, comme on dit. Habillés en Nordiques, parait qu'ils vont même sortir Badaboum.
Si on ramasse un point contre cette puissance, le voyage sera un franc succès. Et si on ne ramasse rien, ce sera un succès quand même.

En effet, 4 points sur 6 c’est déjà pas mal! Plusieurs leurs prédisaient un voyage catastrophique et pourtant ils sont de retour pour la course aux séries!
En effet! Nous sommes déjà de retour en deuxième place de notre division, ça bouge très vite!
On dit que le thanksgiving américain est un baromètre de la course aux séries du printemps. Je trouve ça tôt, mais bon, on va croire les experts. En tout cas, on est en plein "dans le mix", pour reprendre l'expression consacrée.
Make no mistake this was an impressive road victory over an excellent Vegas team. In addition Montembault had a much needed good performance in goal (.968 save %, only allowing the third period Stone goal).
It's really asking a lot of the Habs to play back to back Road games in Nevada and Colorado on consecutive days, the 2 days after Thanksgiving when players are on a tryptophan high, not to mention playing excellent teams. Colorado has only lost one game in regulation all year!!!! And at home undefeated in regulation at 9-0-2. A competitive game is what should be hoped for; stealing a point would be amazing.

Thanskgiving + Winter olympic year its gonna be a rough one for all the teams.
Well... hope the kids learnt from this humbling master class.
If they ever want to win against real elites they need to keep working at it. 6/8 points... I'll take that.

I knew that Colorado have a one of the best if not the best NHL team, but they kicked the Habs ass very hard !
You have to give the entire team a pass on yesterday's performance. As previously noted: back to back road games the 2 days after Thanksgiving against the 2 best teams in the western conference, tryptophan highs, and the thin air of Denver are way too much to overcome, for any team. It was cruel scheduling. Have any of you guys tried to do activities at high altitude? Not at a mini Mountain like Mont Tremblant, I am talking about real mountains like the Rocky Mountains. This is why the team is called the Avalanche. I actually got altitude sickness going to the summit of Pike's Peak and it was pretty scary.
Colorado players' heart and lungs are adjusted to the altitude and conditions of playing in the Mile High City, but the Habs are not.
Anyway almost any team would be happy with and take the 2 points they got in those 2 games.

I did several hicking trails in the andean mountains at 3500 meters +. In the first week, just walking is enough to force you to stop and catch your breath! For sure, the Avs have an edge over the other teams since they train and play at 1500-1600 meters.
Vrai. Mais ils ont gagné en Utah et c’était en altitude aussi. Un peu moindre mais quand même.
Been sking in Lake Louise a few years ago, was short breathed just going up a small hill in the parking lot. Base elevation is around 1600m like Denver. Also been to Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, 3800m. Top of Europe, they say. Going up stairs in the observatory was a real challenge. Those things matter, it's an advantage for locals.

Ah well, Hutson is also not good enough for Bill Guérin, he prefers Quinn Hugues who, is showing some very unprofessional attitude lately with the Canucks.
Quinn Hughes wants to force a trade to the Devils so he can play with his brothers.
I think Guerin/US Olympic Team prefer players who are big and physical. But here is the good news: Caulfield and Hutson not playing in the Olympics means they can't get hurt playing in the Olympics. Like the Tkachuks did in the Four Nations Tournament, as well as Charlie McAvoy, who was out for most or all of the season.
It was somewhat miraculous that Matthew Tkachuk came back, had a very solid playoffs while playing hurt, and helped the Panthers win a second straight Stanley Cup.
Caulfield and Hutson will come back after the Olympics break healthy, refreshed, rested, tanned from their Caribbean vacations, and ready to go.
He literaly said if you cant hit, you don’t belong in a hockey tournament! I wonder what guys like Mario, Wayne ot Brett Hull think about that!
