Well, this is not bubonic plague or Spanish flu (at least not yet), so I don't think we should overdramatize it. Keep reasonable precautions and you should be safe, that is how I see it (at the moment.)

Who are those experts? As has been pointed out a few times in this thread, we don't know (and can't possibly know) that. No one knows what is really going on in China, so the number of infected people is unknown. Not to mention the number of people who have been infected but not tested.
