That's a little bit what I was hinting at. But I'm sure some employers are better than others. I don't really know what to think because I don't know this person and I don't know the motives behind owning an agency.

Someone could want to start an agency or own a mp to offer a safer place for sps to work at and have genuinely good intentions.. but it's still for profit so idk if you could say these intentions are "pure"
You're making a profit with your SP career, are you not?

Would you say your intentions are therefore not pure?

I don't really like the agencies = pimp shortcut. Sure they take a part of the money. But they have to deal with the real estate, the booking, the scheduling. the marketing etc etc. You also get access to a clientele right away by choosing to go with a well established agency.

But then I've also heard some stories about some agency owners (not the ones I'm dealing with) having questionable behaviour.

So basically, it's like life in general. Some good, some bad.

I'm not hiring employees and making them do sex work at my place.
My intentions are to be compensated for the work I do independently. :)
I'm sorry but I no longer wish to participate in this forum other than posting my ad and selfies, please respect that :) I hope you have a lovely day and a great weekend.

You really showing your age.
Pimps were necessary in the pre 70s.-80s
Now a days. It’s agency, onlyfans, IG, Merb, Leolist etc.
Sure there still real pimps out there but it’s not as prevalent as it use to be

In my job, I hate my bosses too but I don’t call them pimps
SPs you have a right to say No and go Indy

Probably the ones you're dealing with, too, considering I've heard something about just about every Merb agency advertiser. Just because you don't see it or hear about it as a client doesn't mean it doesn't happen!

Also, everything you mentioned here is the same thing many assistants can do, but they don't ask for as big of a cut than agency pimps do. Turns out there's a difference between taking a cut and getting paid for the work you do..

I feel like (and I've said this before) too many people think pimp equals violence and coercion. That would be a VIOLENT pimp. Pimp is a noun that you can complement with adjectives, such as "violent" or "thoughtful" for example. Just because a pimp isn't violent doesn't mean he's not a pimp.

Julia continues her campaign to criticize and denigrate escorts who don't share her preferred methods of doing business. So to her, agency girls are working for "pimps" and any escort who prefers not to see black men is a racist.

I guess it's understandable, because evolutionary psychology teaches us that this is how women often compete with each other, i.e. by indirect aggression. I find it distasteful, boring and disrespectful to the many escorts whom she constantly runs down (though at least without naming them). Does she somehow imagine that her unfriendly attitude towards other escorts helps her business? I don't know, maybe she is targeting only a certain type of client who agrees with her politics.
