I wasn't speaking about you specifically, I never met you at an industry event. I'm confused by this reaction.

But also, you just said all that :

And I'm confused as to how taking a sp to a restaurant without paying for social time wouldn't qualify as meeting a SP without paying her.

I was just saying that one way to see me socially outside of paid bookings is through industry events.

Unless you drop her there and go on your way, don't talk to her at all, or send an etransfer that says "enjoy dinner on me tonight", how is it not social time? Going to a restaurant with someone is a social interaction, paid or not

I think some clients feel that after being a regular for a while, bringing a provider they appreciate to a nice restaurant is a gift in itself. And I totally understand that sentiment because it's not often that we get to go to a high end restaurant, it's a special occasion.. I get that it's a nice gesture.

For me the reason why I don't accept going on unpaid dates is because I feel like I'm being paid for my time as a SP, but that doesn't mean I'm greedy... It's just that my energy has limits. I also question the intent behind this sometimes.

That being said, that doesn't mean I'll never do it or that I've never done it.

Like the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. I apologize for offending anybody regarding this offer. I was just trying to do something nice but that backfired!! I have been to several GT's when they were on Berri St. I have paid for social time twice when I took a SP to Club l'Orage. It went so well the first night, we went back the next night.
I will stop here. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Well... if this is a dream social date, I would have a smoking hot date (nonsmoker preferred) collecting both a Nobel prize in medicine and peace while being announced by the news for becoming a zillionaire while seeing Musk go bankrupt and announcing my victory conquering the majority of North America, Europe and Asia as the new Genghis Khan. I shall rename this new land the name of that SP and rule it with an iron fist. I think that is a notch above going to a fancy restaurant.

What about a day in the Nid'otruche ostrich farm?

We will get to know more about the biggest bird in the world history while riding a tractor on a safari like escape.
We'll get amused by the owner (Mr Nicolas) jokes while he is sharing the history of this park and ostriches knowledge. Such as why they have their head in a hole :)

Of course we will get to visit the park with other animals present as well and be able to feed different sizes of this magnificent bird.

Visitors beware: you need to borrow a little pan or pot because you cannot feed them directly for security reasons!

If you're adventurous you'll even get to try some food made out of ostrich as well ...

The ostriches are too cute, I refuse to eat them...

Before the pandemic I visited the alpaca farm in the Eastern townships. It was so cute

I have the same reluctance ... But the open minded me had to try
Yeah I went there with an old gf and our kids years back. Hell yeah I picked up a bunch of the different ostriche sausages, can't recall if they were anything special.

I'm picky about the people I spend time socially so the whole concept of social dating in this context is a catch-22 for me, because whether I know people or not it doesn't work for me mentally. I'm very unlikely to want to take someone I don't know out in a social context and gamble on whether or not I'm going to enjoy their company or whether I'm going to want to bail in 10 minutes. I understand that a social date in this context is not a "date", and will not lead to a romantic entanglement of some kind, so there's no incentive in that way to take someone out socially, and if I meet someone who I like well enough on a friendly basis to want to spend time with them then it would make me uncomfortable to have to pay someone to do so. Also, spending time with people is an SPs job, and if I'm the one choosing to pick someone to go out with me then it's always in the back of my head that this isn't really "social", per se. It's semi-social for me and work for her, no matter how friendly it is. Meeting someone at "social" events is better and more spontaneous in that sense, only because people can choose who they wish to speak to, but it's still "work".

Rather than social dating I prefer the social time model they have down south. Everybody just hangs out for drinks, they circulate, talk to who they want to, and decide whether there's enough physical attraction to interact sexually as well as whether there's enough personal interest to do something socially. It happens more organically and anyone can step in or step out at any time with no obligations, and no cash changes hands unless the people choose to be together. I'm met a number of people that way who have become friends of mine that I never ended up sessioning with. It suits me better because I get a better idea of the personality of the person in question and I'm more personality driven than looks driven.

I would love to be escorted to China by an Asian women, (I have one in mind) show me the sights, its culture, beautiful landscapes and if all goes well, meet her family and ask for their daughters hand in marriage. Of course I will bring along a small gift as a token of my appreciation , probably a bag of gold. Lol
