I liked the citizen at the rally in Mississippi who shouted out to trumpolini "take your ballroom and shove it up your fat ass". People are pissed and speaking out. Wish they done so in November 2024 but better late than never.

I take your point, but I think America is more divided now than it ever has been including during the Civil War. The acrimony, the ugliness, the cruelty, the hate is palpable. And not just against "the other" but against each other. As a nation we have always been divided in arriving at solutions to national problems, but now we are tribal, live in totally different silos, and can't even agree on reality and facts. This does not auger well for the American society. I think when trump is gone and only after MAGA republicans lose election after election will this curse begin to erode and democracy - which only exists when both political parties accept the will of the people and election results - prevails.

Or perhaps the blue House and Senate will prove themselves to have all the legislative skill of a box of frogs and out themselves as worthless to the American electorate. Which will catapult a non-dinosaur MAGA candidate like Vance (not pushing 80) into the White House, to the anguished wails of well-intentioned idiots everywhere. Obama was devastated in the midterms during his first term and still went on to win a second term. The MAGA wing will not prove anywhere near as hazardous to the Republican Party in the long run as the DSA will prove to the Democratic Party, the latter will be tantamount to an outbreak of the bubonic plague in the blue camp if allowed to make their intentions known.

Trump doesn’t belong as President anymore he has turned into a raging lunatic that wants to hold the world hostage with his insane tariffs and has made the US hated all over the world. He has destroyed any trust that allies of the US ever had and it will take decades to rebuild that trust.
I hope Canada stays on course to diversify and set up trade with the rest of the world and be less and less dependant on the US who proved that they cannot be trusted.
I just hope that the Dems don’t consider this a vote of confidence in them because it is not it is a vote against Trump, a lunatic that is ruled by his insane inflated ego.
The Dems are still not liked by the majority and I hope they remember that and don’t go back to their woke ways of Biden.
