Some providers will understand the importance of discretion, while others only see you as sales leads, future transactions. On few occasions I have received and actually accepted follow up offers, sometimes even “loyalty” level offers lol

Being a potential customer made me take precautions before engaging with any SP/MP. Personal situations/relationships can change suddenly, hence I took habits to “future proof” myself.

Hey, I just want to raise a few points. Not defending or condemning anything. I don't know the specifics.

1) it's happened to me on several occasions that I suddenly get a bunch of texts at once but it's clear some of them were sent long before others. Is it the network, my phone? I don't know. But i have no idea exactly when the person actually texted me. I then have to decide if I reply but I shouldn't. Or if I don't and the sender thinks I completely ignored him.

2) Back when I used a free phone app, it would routinely send messages twice (received and sent) and also often delay sending/receiving.

3) It's a catch 22 situation because compare your reaction to the reaction of people whose expectation is to get a response it's hard to know what to do sometimes.

4) You never know what could happen and it is absolutely up to you to take precautions to prevent situations like those described. Nowadays it is super easy to get an e-sim card on your personal phone and simply disable it when you're not using that phone line or expecting anyone to contact you.

5) I'll just remind everyone that we also have to keep texts or calls we receive private and we each have our own system depending on what the set up for our work number is:

When I used a phone app, I would disable, turn off notifications, hide or even delete the app. Now I have a second sim card so I have a different system. I don't post ads or early morning but routinely get text messages at all hours. So I make sure that line is silent or notifications disabled any time I don't want to be disturbed, woke up or whatever.

Moral of the story: at least 50% is on you to make sure none of the scenarios you've listed can happen at all in the first place, even if someone sends you a text message that's unsolicited.

I can't comment on your situation however it's wild that it is even a possibility that one wrong text or call could be seen by anyone.

So, as an example. Right now, I'm unsure what to do because I was recently in the hospital for several days and have been recuperating since. I'm not available and I don't know precisely when I will be. I've received inquiries the whole time. Some I responded to a few days later, others I was able to reply pretty soon after they were sent. But I have a bunch of texts I haven't responded to and I have no idea what I should do. Do I ignore and risk having people think I completely ignored them? Or do I reply and risk getting people pissed off? Honestly, what do I do?

You raise some excellent points. I didn’t think about network issues, or receiving delayed texts all at once, etc.

I guess it’s a judgement call about how late an SP should answer to a client’s original text
(Like you said). I agree it’s also up to the client to make sure he takes the precautions if he doesn’t want to be notified of texts coming in at any random time.

Having said that, IMO for the case mentioned by the OP, I don’t think the SP should have responded to the text 3 days later.

Have a nice day!

I have zero tolerance for that behaviour from TDS... unless I told them they can. One once texted me without my request, they're now blacklisted. Usually, business isn't going well so they try... terrible way to look for business IMO, they're just shooting themselves in the foot.

To avoid the pop-up situation, I've installed a burner app with a 2nd number, which I've set to silent... when I receive I text if I do, there's no pop-up, noise or vibration... there is a red dot on the app like saying it needs update, that's it.

What is the burner app?

This is also a reason why I basically only deal with agencies. In the end, I only give my phone number to the SPs I truly appreciate and trust.

It's not that hard to email or figure out a system to text privately. If you prefer agencies for other reasons, cool. But honestly, it's being a little dramatic to act like it's not very easily handled by any capable adult. lol Come on now You should be doing the same when dealing with agencies anyway xo

Pas d'accord... Anyway c'est illegal pour une TDS de faire de la sollicitation

Non, pas par texto.

Seulement en public.

"The activities related to sex work that are prohibited by law include operating a premises (sexual services establishment or brothel) where such activities take place, being found in such an establishment, procuring for such purposes, and communicating such services (soliciting) in a public place, making it difficult to engage in prostitution without breaking any law. Automobiles are considered public spaces if they can be seen. On the other hand, working as an independent sex worker and private communication for such purposes (telephone, internet, e-mail, etc.) is legal. "

I didn't... I have exchanged 3 text with her..it was like (3 weeks ago):
- are you available tonight?
- no
- tomorrow morning?
- after 11am
- ok it won't work, bye

So I was really confused to received sollicitation 3 weeks later... It's not like it was my best one, I never seen her...
In that case I’d say you most likely dodge a bullet.

I'll admit to reaching out to a few favorite regulars in times of silence. But not to promote business.
It is important to know who is single and who isn't. Anyone I knew was in a relationship guaranteed don't message back unless they message me. I keep notes.
But is more of a 'Hi, How are you? Hope life is treating you well.' and wasn't to push business, but just to chat and say hi when bored. (no ad) Just people where there was some kind of repertoire, and friendship being built, the ones who regularly message me just to say hi between visits, so return the favor on the rare chance I feel like reaching out. Sometimes it's nice to hear their situation has improved, or that they have started a relationship. I'm happy to congratulate them and wish them well and that they deserve it.
I keep the conversation light in the way that if anyone did see it over their shoulder they wouldn't likely be questioned on it. If they don't answer back, I leave them alone.
It's no secret at this point that I don't treat work like a professional business. It is nice to get to be friends with some of the people I frequent, or would like to frequent. Some of my favorites tend to like knowing they cross my mind on occasion as I seem to cross theirs.
If they asked not to be contacted I wouldn't mind, and am happy to oblige.
My favorite to reach out to is the females of couples I have seen. I don't contact their husbands or bf, out of respect for their relationship. I am a fan for people who are in relationships and want their situations to do well.
And there is no way I am going out of my way to message someone I haven't seen before. If we haven't met then there is likely a reason.

Non, ce n'est pas professionnel. Mais dans ce domaine, comme dans tous les autres, il y a des gens qui sont plus pros que d'autres.

La majorité des TDS ne font pas cela.
