Hello all,

GREAT GAME!

Congratulations Team Canada. The Curse of Joe.t F*cking Moron Lives. Congratulations also to Team U.S.A. for showing you are just as good as anyone.

Three whammies Team Canada avoided...lol:

Losing to the U.S.A. twice.

Sending the population into psychiatry.

Having to live with the Womens Team Canada being better.

It was very even game and someone had to win. I didn't like the U.S. strategy of one player trying to skate through defenders to score, but otherwise WE (the U.S.A.) were a perfect match for them. Again...a terrific game for the ages, and a spectacular Olympics..

Cheers,

Merlot

PS

I'm not as happy as the alternative, but I am very happy Team Canada was able to win on their home ice. We in the U.S.A. know just how special that was in 1960 and 1980.

And for a team that no one gave a chance to...well played game and tournament team USA.
WOW...what a game...it's a shame someone had to lose!

Two teams; two games...played to a virtual tie when you put them together. Awesome!

Congratulations to Team USA for an amazing game and a great way to end the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games! What a game. Now I can breath again!!!

A great finish to a great Olympic Games. And that medal makes Canada the country with the most gold medal wins of any Winter Olympic Games in history!

GREAT GAME! And the pass from Iginla to Crosby was unbelievable, one of the best passes I have ever seen. Congratulations to Team Canada and to Team USA for a great game and worthy medal performances!

The Curse of Joe.t F*cking Moron Lives.

LOL!!! You crack me up sometimes!!! Poor Joe t, he just can NEVER make the right pick!!! He's a reverse Jimmy the Greek!! LOL!!!!

Now i can't wait for the closing ceremonies.....Neil Young, Avril Lavigne, maybe Bryan Adams & Sarah McLaughlin, it should be great!!!

I saw that William Shatner was at the game....i wonder if he'll be part of the ceremonies also.

What a performance by Ryan Miller & Team USA, by the way. I tip my hat off to Brian Burke for the team he built & to Ron Wilson, who's coaching was among the best in the entire tournament. The USA should be proud of their hockey team, who came a whisker from gold. What a game!!

Congratulations to Team Canada but perhaps even more so to the USA, who came so close despite the obvious gaps in management and coaching. Steve Yzerman vs. Brian Burke = greatness, class, intelligence and dignity vs. Arrogance and BS. Mike Babcock vs. Ron Wilson = articulate skill vs. obnoxious pouting.
Ironically it was Detroit management that helped Canada to the gold and Toronto "management" (huh???) that relegated the US to the silver ( despite a gutsy performance by the second place squad - maybe if they had suited up someone other than Phil Kessel it might have made the difference.)

And lets not forget respected hockey masterminds such as Lemaire and Ken Holland were also part of the team's management.

Anyway,it was a great tournament, great hockey and the best team won with the best player scoring the most important winning goal.
Bravo SID THE KID!:D;)

as usual, my puppet, better known as "Mrs. Cairo" , err better yet "Mrs. Cairo, a closet habs fan", showing he is a class act, as in NO CLASS. if the Leaf/USA mgmt is so terrible then you should be ashamed Canada had to fight tooth and nail to beat them, and in Overtime no less. you can take your foot out of your mouth now :) and seems the only "obnoxious pouting" done is between you and your very very close friend GSG when your Scabs lose a game, lol....save me the same ole lame "i am a red wings fan dammit" it is getting older than your denying you are a habs fan, and thats OLD!

it was a storybook finish indeed, Crosby scoring in overtime, the script was written and the "Kid" delivered..

Hello everyone,

This has been a very good thread up to now so let's keep the trash talk and the flames for the hockey thread, please.

Thank you,

Let him be, he's just bitter. Ms. Cairo is a bitter Habs fan who's bitter not only because the USA lost, but also because none of his Habs were playing in this great game today.

p.s. He's been bitter since his favorite Olympic athlete, Johnny Weir of the USA, didn't win a medal.

Actually he's been bitter ever since Jeff Reardon snubbed him when he approached the former Expos pitcher for a autograph.:)
