Also, whatever happened to our fave DD 41 and his constant pronunciations that it was too early in the season to enjoy how the Sox were doing. I'd love to hear him again with 6 games left. What a great laugh it would be. :lol:

Well, the Yankees won a game. Too bad nearly all the other teams looking for that awful one-game playoff spot also won, Tampa, Cleveland, Texas. Let's see how they handle that very tough Tampa pitching staff coming up. But it would be priceless to see the Astros take a couple of games with everything on the line.
Meanwhile, Buchholz looked pretty good but wasn't good enough for the first time. Overall, the Red Sox pitching staff looks very solid with Dempster where he belongs in relief for the playoffs. The question is will the lineup keep finding someone to step up at a higher level in the playoffs.
